I only discovered it because I was checking the IBIS setting on the body, which told me to check the lens 🤦 I can’t believe I ever turned it off

TFW you figure out why your shots have been blurry for the last couple weeks…
The author, standing next to a car. The Milky Way fills the sky overhead
IN MOTION
I'm not a star model, but I'm trying to experiment with my Milky Way photography. Lit by my iphone, my trusty Forester and I put in 1000km on this Milky Way chase.

I prefer to stay up late, so it’s sunsets and Milky Way for me.

Armageddon. Lofoten, Norway. Sept 2020.
Great photo! I would have picked “Ragnarok” for the title though 🙂
The Nepean river cuts through a densely forested gorge during twilight. The sky displays soft blue and pink hues with wispy clouds, while dark green trees cover the steep hillsides on both sides of the reflective water below.
Sunset at The Rock Lookout in Mulgoa, NSW. One of the benefits of living at the foot of the Blue Mountains is being able to zip down to this spot when the light is good

When poetic truth and fact align
It would make for pretty cool photos of that worked!

"I dreamed I was a butterfly, flitting around in the sky; then I awoke. Now I wonder: Am I a man who dreamt of being a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am a man?"

High tension wires don't get enough love
Most photographers clone them out! Love the rainbow 🌈
I'm not 100% sold on the edit. Sometimes when I look at them, they feel oversaturated... but maybe that's how they need to be to convey how I felt standing there in that moment?
A steel electrical transmission tower with multiple power lines stretches against a soft sky during golden hour. The scene features warm peachy-pink and blue-gray tones with wispy clouds, creating a serene atmospheric mood as geometric power lines contrast with the organic cloud formations.
Power lines stretch diagonally across a deep blue twilight sky with birds flying in a V. A bright moon or light appears in the upper right against the gradient blue-to-purple evening sky.
Steel transmission towers rise against a vibrant sunset sky painted in blues and purples. Power lines create geometric patterns while silhouetted trees frame the bottom of the rural landscape scene.

Been busy with life, but I managed to sneak out yesterday and catch the sunset in my local neighbourhood.

We all worry that Meta and the other tech firms know too much about us… and then they ask a childless middle aged man if he’s interested in necklaces and parenting 🤷
