how do you even get a new job to get out of the one that’s burning you out? if i’m not working i’m mostly tired from working or doing things to maintain any semblance of a relationship or life. do you just sacrifice more to get out?

Also! Knowing when to bail is important if you’re interviewing and getting a lot of red flags don’t waste your time. Better to spend that time doing other apps than doing interviews for a job you know you won’t take.

Also if you get a cold outreach message from a recruiter on LinkedIn it’s probably sketchy but it may be worth doing an initial call if bc that’s literally how I got my current job. If I didn’t go “this is probably shady but hey I need a new job bad I’ll do a 15 min call” I wouldn’t have found this

I would give myself a goal to do like 5 at a time for a couple days throughout the week and then on the weekend pick a late morning or early afternoon and give myself more time to do apps. But really looking and finding the red flags in advance saved a lot of time and headaches

Force yourself to sit down a do a handful of applications like 3-4 times a week or block off an hour or two on a weekend to do it. Made it more attainable to aim to do smaller amounts over time. And being mindful of what actually seems like a good move vs what is BS and actually worse or no better
