Sometimes, but too often not. Works a bit better on racism, but I've reported Holocaust denial and really vicious antisemitism with no result. Still worth a try though.

Also, about ~70% of Israelis are Jews. That's about the same percentage as ethnic French in France or ethnic Germans in Germany. Are those ethno states as well? And if they are, what is Gaza (100% Arab) or Jordan (~98% Arab)?

Israel is not the same as Jews, but you can't just search-replace "Jews" with "Israel" in your antisemitism for it to magically not be antisemitism.

People being uneducated, people being easily manipulated, people being too lazy to read up on the issue so they helped get the fascist elected is a problem. Having a better democratic party or a better system would be nice. But this is on (non-)voters.

Occam's razor applies: the simple answer is that a group of not so smart people got into it thinking it would be over in a day, fell on their face, and are now flailing around.

And the gain? It's not there. It doesn't help military operations. It doesn't help negotiations with Iran (who wants to negotiate with that). It doesn't help diplomacy with allies. There's just no upside.

The cost is high: it's not just keeping the enemy guessing, but also allies. The US seems like a deranged 4 year old who somehow got hold of his parents gun. Nobody wants to help that guy.

Honestly I don’t think the rest of the political universe is conveying how much Trump and Hegseth are flailing. Each whipsaw change in direction is reported, sometimes critically, but it’s the accumulation of insanely reckless course changes - sometimes 180 degrees in 12 hours - that’s important.

So if Israel would be destroyed and eg the PLO or Hamas takes over, then Jews - if they are not killed or displaced - would be indigenous to the land? But not now? I'm not sure that's a meaningful definition.
