Working on a layout for a BATMAN! 11x17. Going to be color with lots of rain (hopefully).

DR STRANGE! This isn’t the drawing I started out to make. I was going to do all the usual colors on Doctor Strange, but then I had an idea to leave it very graphic with all the white and just the blue glow effect.

Cool. The percussion is similar to The Earth Died Screaming off Bone Machine.

SUPERMAN vs THE CHAIN. Card from the Fleer Ultra Superman set. Another character I was unfamiliar with, but I had a lot of fun with his flinging chains.

SUPERMAN RED &SUPERMAN BLUE! Card from the Fleer Ultra Superman set. I drew one of these guys in Aquaman. I don’t remember how he got this way.

SUPERMAN vs MANCHESTER BLACK! Card from the Fleer Ultra Superman greatest battles subset. Had no idea who Manchester Black is, but I had a lot of fun going psychedelic with it. The last one has his costume colors reversed, looking even funkier. They didn’t go for that last one.

THE LANTERNS! ROY G BIV. 11x17. Although indigo was officially dropped from the spectrum by scientists. It’s wallowing in depression somewhere with Pluto.

SUPERBOY vs PSYCHO PIRATE! Fleer Ultra Superman card; actually a subset of Greatest Battles. The best part about the BLACK LANTERN storyline was that it took non-A list characters and made them cool to draw.

ERADICATOR! Card from the Fleer Ultra Superman set. How about them specs. Did he just have cataract surgery?

SUPERMAN vs METALLO! Fleer Ultra Superman set. This card is from a subset within it of Superman’s greatest battles.

STEEL! Fleer Ultra card. I don’t think I ever drew him in a book before, or even as a commission.

METALLO! Villain card art from the upcoming FLEER ULTRA SUPERMAN set.

LEX LUTHOR! Finally! Some trading cards I did last year are being released and I got the green light to post. The set is FLEER ULTRA SUPERMAN.

From the files:SPIDER-MAN! 2014. This was actually done for a local charity auction.

MILES MORALES SPIDER-MAN! 9x12. This would probably be considered a “torso” sketch at a con.

HELA! 11x17 finished. What better way to celebrate Easter than with a pagan God and zombies? I originally was going to color the zombies “real” colors, but decided to go for the monochromatic red against the green. And I handled Hela almost like a flat graphic. It’s available BTW.

HELA! and zombie Vikings. 11x17 in progress. Preliminary inks (without blacks filled in). Time to see how the color works out.

SUPERMAN! From the files, way back toDC’s 52. Sadly, I don’t have a scan of the original B&W. I spent some time conferring with the colorist on how the backlighting should work.

Daily sketch: MR FREEZE! I had the blue markers out, so I figured what the hell. And I can never get enough of drawing Mr. Freeze.

NOVA! 9x12. Realized I’d never done Mr Ryder in color ever before. It’s available, by the way, if anyone’s interested.

Morning sketch: ADAM WARLOCK! Was curious how few highlights I could do and still have the character “read”. And I like his original costume with the lightning bolt.

Morning sketch: DAREDEVIL! Wanted to do something quick and with almost no under drawing. And I just used a fat marker for the blacks.
