Portland Trail Blazers Buyer Tom Dundon Built His Fortune on Subprime Loans In 2020, the state sued Santander Consumer USA for allegedly preying on Oregonians through high-interest car loans they couldn’t afford in a case involving more than 265,000 borrowers nationwide.

New Portland Trail Blazers owner Tom Dundon is all over the news as details come out of all the penny-pinching he's done since taking over the NBA team.

This probably won't come as a surprise to folks familiar with how Dundon amassed his wealth from sketchy subprime auto loans:

Losing my mind at the Blazers' many bad three point shooters continuing to jack them up as they shoot themselves right out of this game.

You're one of the worst three point shooting teams in the league and the big rim protector is in the locker room. Maybe try attacking the basket a time or two.

Have the Blazers considered actually taking advantage of any of these offensive boards?

The CIA, FBI, NSA, etc. actively encourage conspiracy theories about themselves because it's in their interest for the public to think they're capable of anything and ignore how much of their collective history is full of ridiculous screwups.

It'd be pretty cool if the Avs could put the puck in the net.

One positive of social media is that we're in a golden age of Midwesterners being able to share the video they got of tornadoes instead of taking shelter.

Look, I don't think Antonio Senzatela is some great find now or anything, but after years of doing exactly the same thing, over and over, to no success, well ... it's fun to see him hearing different ideas.

Facebook post by Rep. Brad Finstad (R-MN) celebrating a measure that will allow mining near Minnesota's boundary waters.

Genuinely insane behavior from Minnesota's Republican congressmen to tout the removal of environmental protections for the boundary waters as some kind of victory for the state.

But it's downstream of the pages (especially on Facebook) that overhype potential storms a week or more ahead of time with scare graphics only to have the forecast change as it gets closer.

That shit is so harmful to those of us genuinely trying to keep people informed and safe.

Noticing a weird trend of people in the comments of posts about severe weather forecasts saying things like "bet nothing happens."

Like I know people joke about meteorologists getting it wrong, but this is something they're actually very good at and it's much easier to forecast than snow storms.

Orban achieved a level of authoritarian consolidation unthinkable here and they still successfully got rid of him. Never let the doomers have the final say.
