But it's downstream of the pages (especially on Facebook) that overhype potential storms a week or more ahead of time with scare graphics only to have the forecast change as it gets closer.
That shit is so harmful to those of us genuinely trying to keep people informed and safe.
Noticing a weird trend of people in the comments of posts about severe weather forecasts saying things like "bet nothing happens."
Like I know people joke about meteorologists getting it wrong, but this is something they're actually very good at and it's much easier to forecast than snow storms.
