Exciting new work for the Angiopoietin aficionado: Angiopoietin dysregulation as early hallmark of amyloid- driven vascular dysfunction in Alzheimer's disease. Must read work from the Wysscoray and Keller laboratories published on @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social.

2025 has been an intense and in part rough year. Time to let body and soul heal and recover. Found a wonderful place overlooking Costa Adeje on the lovely island Tenerife (www.oceanviewmontesol.com). Spectacular view – plenty activities – great new ideas - feels like rejuvenation - check it out!

Another hyped study published in Nature Medicine claiming to have developed a predictive test for the identification of women at risk of developing preeclampsia. Sobering: The predictive value is no better than the cheap routine measurement of sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1 reported more than 20 years ago.

Gratifying to now see our pericrine liver signaling work in the print version of @Nature.com (www.nature.com/articles/s41...). Massive piece of work with 651 display items (174 main, 477 supplement). Feels like we are publishing books and not papers. Thanks to Robert Schwabe for great collaboration!

Angiocrine signaling is rocking - pericrine signaling is the new kid on the block: Hepatic stellate cells control liver function (‘HSCs make the liver great again’) - now published @nature.com (www.nature.com/articles/s41586-025-08677-w). Fantastic collaboration with the Schwabe lab at Columbia Uni

Spectacular hemangioma work from Joyce Bischoff's lab in @jclinical-invest.bsky.social. Fantastic basic science (discovery of SOX18-mevalonate pathway) combined with great translational perspective (drug repurposing). Congrats to Anne Holm!
