BUTCH GREMLIN

Three wooden shelves made of old wall moulding that I picked up at a thrift store. Every shelf is stocked with baubles. A lackadaisy keychain from the crowdfund, handmade glass beads from an artist in Finland, rocks from Europe sent by Lizkay and Suzidragonlady, Mount St. Helens ash, a jar full of amber, raw amber, Dominican amber from thema, lots of leaf and seed fossils (elm, sycamore and ferns), an archimedes screw fossil, Amtheyst that I think smogteeth sent me, sees from a tea tree in Jordan (garage sale), a keychain and some rocks and coins I was given by sunnyupgremlin, a cow bell keychain from Kuberish, a Japanese flowering teapot I never opened can’t remember from who, some ancient Icelandic licorice from slashkishi, some river rocks that look cool like eggs but aren’t, a cactus pod I picked at the lake during a bad anxiety spell, I sculpture I made as a kid and a beaded band I made in a family friends upstairs studio as a kid.

Fossils and knick knacks from internet friends.
I need to anchor this shelf better before I find out what regret tastes like.

A guy on the r/malelivingspaces subreddit installed a 1:8 scale replica of a mosasaur skeleton above his entryway. Dudes rock.

Gonna have to award this one a “dudes rock.”

an Infernodrakon catches a small lizard at the edge of a forest. conifers are to the far back, and a line of short horsetails are growing infront of them Infernodrakon is an azhdarchid pterosaur (a group of stork-like pterosaurs) that is known from only a single cervical vertebra, it was discovered alongside a juvenile tyrannosaur (called Jane) and was originally erroneously assigned to Quetzalcoatlus but was soon after recognised to be distinct, in 2025 it was (controversally) given a name despite no new material being found

an Araripesuchus gallops across a beach at sunset, it has an ammonite in its mouth, the sunset over the ocean can be seen in the background Araripesuchus is a kind of croc that was part of an extinct branch of pseudosuchians, it was fully terrestrial and may have had osteoderms covered by skin

a Diprotodon joey peaks out from its mother's pouch Diprotodon was a massive marsupial that clades close with forms like wombats and koalas, like wombats their pouches may have faced backwards

during dusk in the open ocean, a Mixosaurus is ambushed by a Thalattoarchon, both animals are illuminated by an artificial light coming from the camera Mixosaurus and Thalattoarchon are both ichthyosaurs, marine reptiles that were adapted for life in the open ocean. Mixosaurus was much smaller and looked vaguely like a dolphin, while Thalattoarchon had a more boxy skull and probably had longer fins and an overall longer body
