Inspired by @themadjeff.bsky.social's series, here's something I saw last night.

Asha Bhosle is dead, so it’s time for this www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzBz...
Controversial. I don't even know where to begin in disagreeing with most of this...

There are books. And then there are books. This is one of the latter.
Welcome. A never-bettered trio of albums awaits you, and you won't be the same again.
"though the distilling process of gin removes most shellfish proteins, some can still remain when it is made with oysters." No! Really? Who would have thought?
www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnMT... Cool. As. Fuck.
You too, Des. We spend years believing we have understood it all. Tthen, as the years roll on, we realise our earlier certainties were perhaps not so certain. Thank you for your earlier articulation of a valid interpretation of that photograph. It helped me unlock something that needed unlocking.
What, no "THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER"? Be polite, Donald. Politeness costs nothing.
Beautifully expressed. My mother was not always able to express that love, and it took years after her death for me to understand that it was not because she didn't love my brother and I, but because her circumstances conspired against her being able to express it as she wanted.
The Clash, Stevie Wonder, Elton John.

Each Wednesday, whole staff meeting at my school. Principal asks, "Any celebrations?" Over the last few weeks I've been reporting on the Owls' latest: today, "Last night we didn't lose, so we're now on only -6 points." My Indian and U.S. colleagues are bemused, but it amuses the hell out of me.
I love your #GoodMorningFromHaarlem photos. Every summer I spend a week in a different place in NL (teacher, so I have 4 weeks) (always a week in Utrecht, the other 3 in new places), and, as a result of your posts, a week in Haarlem is definitely happening next summer. Dank je wel!❤️

'Trout Mask Replica' sounds like an unreleased track by The Fall. It never existed, but it is, I have no doubt, one of their best tracks.
Person living in Asia here. You should have got here whilst you could! 😎
Si, se puede.
I do like this. I first heard it in Beirut, at Christmas, maybe about 15 years ago, and have loved it ever since.
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi hapus!
Lovely photo...and (not 'but') it also looks like a Scalextric track 🙂
Then you should listen to The Fall.
He's "open-minded" he says. Reminds me of that line, "If you open your mind too much, your brain might fall out." Here is the evidence of that line being a truism.

Gorgeous photograph.
Happy birthday to Robert Wyatt, who made this Elvis Costello-penned song his own.

Pleasure. I teach a secondary IB Diploma course called 'Global Politics,' but I teach in an international school in India, otherwise I would circulate it to my students. However, I am also on a bunch of WA groups for teachers of the same course all over the world. Wish me to share it?
