lol it helps that I have a small ac unit in the garage so since its not super humid yet I can still get some painting in. That will be over by the end of next month though lol. And I haven’t done the stickers or anything on this one, I might come back to it later

Finished painting the beam rifle and I think it came out pretty good. Took 2 very light coats of Mr Base White with 2 also very light coats of Mr Gundam Color MS White and the gray is AK Interactive Dunkelgrau. Also forgot to take pictures with the beam saber earlier so that’s here too lol #gunpla

The Mk-II and something like the Hg Ground Gundam/GM is probably closest to what you’ve built before I’d guess
I think near the top of my list if you haven’t built them yet would be things like the HGUC Gundam Mk-II Revive, I’ve built 3 and they’re fantastic. Any of the HG Witch from Mercury kits are pretty much excellent too. The HGCE Destiny is also great and comes with really neat effect parts
Hmmm that’s a hard one since I haven’t actually built any Thunderbolt kits. I think generally most newer kits are really good, have you been building MGs or HGs?

Some more pictures of the MG Ground type. I think this kit is old enough that Bandai didn’t have quite the tolerances in its molds that it has now because there’s a lot of inconsistencies in how tight things are between parts #gundam #gunpla
I really do love the look of the ground GM too, I may pick it up at some point, I know I have a couple of the Hgs lol. Yeah the hands on this one are really rough too, I haven’t tried the rifle since I’m painting it but it barely holds the machine gun so I’ll definitely be using some Bluetac too lol

The Ground Gundam is assembled! I still have to finish painting the beam rifle, but this still looks so cool! It does feel a bit fragile and I’m not sure how well it’s going to pose but that doesn’t matter because I love how the RX-79 looks lol #gundam #gunpla

The most beautiful picture of the Jegan I took :) Using a handheld UV light to make the eye glow like that. I painted under the visor silver and then did a ring of fluorescent green with a dspaie marker

You can escape unharmed 😌 I was originally going to go all out on the thrusters, but I ended up just giving them a coat of white inside and then a couple of yellow and it looks pretty good. I was thinking of doing the outside in a metallic grey but maybe next time

Yup! It’s called Crystal Legacy and it’s a little more challenging but the big thing is it fixes the level curve mid game and fixes movesets and a bunch of qol stuff
Unfortunately no there’s no physical/special split here. The closest they did is make dark physical and ghost special
One of the best parts of a romhack like Legacy here is the updated move lists, in this case Gyarados learns fly which is great because it gives it some on type useful physical attacks since it sucks as a water type. So now it is my flyer and it will be useful for Clair and Lance!

Got the main body done, and I started on the weapons. I decided I’m going to paint the whole beam rifle white and then paint the dark gray on after. I still have to build the backpack, shield and machine gun #gundam #gunpla

Finally moved onto the armor. I’m noticing that there’s a lot of inconsistencies in this kit. Like parts on one side of the kit fit perfectly, and the mirrored parts on the other side barely fit without adjustment of some kind. I’m guessing it’s just an issue of the older mold technology #gunpla
I think I’ll be joining you on getting that Zagan, I’ve heard it has an updated frame from the old ones and I’m really interested to see how it is!
