Also, flex hoses are good for 5-10 years before they should be replaced.

Delta and Moen are more expensive (because of the name) but they are so ubiquitous that plumbers carry those parts in their van/warehouse.

I also asked what brands to stick with so that plumbers would have all the other parts:Delta or Moen.
Plumbers will have parts (except for flex hoses) for them. If you pick the non-name brands from Canadian Tire/Home Depot or wherever, those are parts the plumber will have to go to the store for.

There are dozens of parts in a kitchen sink. Plumbers have literally all of them in stock, except for the flex hose. I've called 3 plumbers, and they all said the same thing. The lag time for that part is approximately 3-4 weeks.
Guess I am going to buy a new kitchen faucet tonight.
