Building for our AI future A note from Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai to employees, sharing a number of structural changes to improve velocity and execution across the company.

This sort of practice didn't emerge "now", after an alignment with Trump.

See "Mission statement". This is a "business", not a place to "debate politics"... that "supersedes everything else".

Guess which political position they didn't like? (It's bipartisan.)

Absolutely. He phrased that Canada had simply "put up a sign" vouching for international law. But that obscures that, no, they actively laundered horror and atrocity, denying the crimes of their allies, and releasing empty "calls" for respect of intnl law so their allies could murder and plunder.

Not a W at all. He still has no problem that Canada trades the lives of people elsewhere for profit and security. A "bargain" w US empire. He spoke today only because this exact week the bargain didnt favour us. Gaza was fine, a good bargain. Venezuela, too. Carney met Machado, eager to install her.

There have been multiple attacks on pro-Pal protestors in Toronto over the last two months, meanwhile. Two with chemicals, one with a snow plow. Lilley is encouraging *more* of an already existing violence.

"acted as any other Israeli leader would" LOL. That's the most cutting claim they make... and it's entirely unintentional.

"Hamas's brutal attack on Israel was what triggered the war. By refusing to surrender, and by embedding itself in and under hospitals, homes and U.N. facilities, Hamas also bears responsibility for the horrors that followed. And in his initial responses to Hamas's atrocities in October 2023, Netanyahu acted as any Israeli prime minister might have in his place. But as the conflict turned from an existential battle into a war of attrition - and as other Israeli leaders questioned the logic behind its continuation - it was Netanyahu who dragged it out. It was Netanyahu who refused to plan for a postwar power transfer..."

The research is one thing. But the article then folds this all into an easy containment, identifying the sources of wrongdoing entirely with Netanyahu and H., and promoting incredibly deceptive and false (and morally bankrupt logic) narratives about human shields.

This is exculpating.

Special envoy Deborah Lyons speaks about antisemitism in Canada
Aug 8, 2024 - What is it about the make-up of our society? What is it about our push for diversity and inclusivity? And what is it about our demographics?

A Liberal appointee given a position within Canada's 5-year "Anti-Racism" plan... Just asking "genuine questions"?

Coincidentally, Canada has put up massive barriers to people fleeing from Gaza, leaving, e.g., Palestinian students with Canadian uni acceptances to die while waiting for visas.

Yes, def not a GOP thing. I'm in Toronto, where our PM (Liberal) repeatedly spread lies about protestors and appointed a racist rw Zionist (Christian, white) to a special antisemitism office. Our social democrat mayor spread the same lies and enacted an anti-protest bylaw targeting Pal solidarity.

That's an exag obv. But the extent of the other mechanisms to suppress protest was massive. For students, the bulk of the visible protests, all sorts of serious threats to their studies, future employment, and visa status were initiated. And the surveillance, which includes undercover cops.

That was not a genuine question. It was smug and rhetorical. You set up the contrast, then said "So where are those protestors now?"

You think that reads as "genuine" and "in good faith"?

Right. And they specifically tracked the Biden admin for the first round, aligning with US SD designations.

Biden is no leading light.

They said sanctions in context of West Bank settlers. Not Gaza.

This is massively less significant. It means sanctioning individual civilians. Not cabinet members.

It also merely extends sanctions that the Biden state dept began.

Still cowards.

It's Winklejohn who really reflects the money-over-integrity choice, though, yeah? He's said as much, saying that, at the end of the day, Jon pays the most and that he (Wink) is a "capitalist".

Police brutality will continue to escalate, as will their use of high-tech surveillance and the abusive prosecution of protestors.

Deference to intl / law isn't coming back.

Pipelines, mining, and Gaza ensure *all of this*. It's in motion and Carney / the Liberals will only help advance it.

They will continue to launder the genocide in Gaza, selling weapons components that murder children and families. Carney literally rolled his eyes when confronted with a question about 18,000 dead kids. (He then announced a promise to severely restrict Canadians' abilities to protest. Hmmm...)

They will themselves advance racist and anti-immigrant rhetoric. The author here is a *Liberal* appointee. She's even part of their 5-year *anti-racism* plan (yes, this non-Jewish white woman is fighting racism ...w/ dog whistle questions about 'diversity & inclusion' and 'changing demographics').

Canada doesn't deserve smug congratulations (from home or abroad).

The Liberals have all the same characteristics people are claiming we just held off.

They will continue to fail on climate action. In the process, the racist RCMP will be unleashed to continue degrading Indigenous protest.

It's too fucking late. All of this was obv going to happen.

Students have been harassed and promised deportation for 16 months. RW groups have recorded and compiled databases or faces / names for these exact moments.

Frum can't claim naive. His sister was the Chair of fucking NGO Monitor.
