If you don’t like it, don’t participate in it. But I’d go a step further to say that openly shitting on other people who DO enjoy those spaces just makes you look bitter and hateful. Be kinder to people! The world needs more kindness and support in it these days.

Prompts, events and clear design direction in world building have given me a strong desire to continue pushing my artistic abilities. Most cs owners don’t even gaf if you make designs with similar anatomy/lore/etc., as long as you’re not lying to others about it being apart of the community.

I don’t see any reason to openly hate on people who enjoy participating in those communities. As someone who strongly dislikes designing for myself and has found it really hard to find community on platforms like insta and bluesky, cs have been a great place for my art to grow with direction.

I’m super surprised at the overwhelming hostility I’m seeing for closed species on Bluesky :( There are always bad apples in such a large community, but closed species have been a fantastic way for me to meet artists with similar interests and find community in this disjointed digital world now.
