Il Grotta Azzurra, Capri, 2004. It was an absolute miracle I managed to get a shot this evocative in virtually no light. My late mother's reaction ... "Well, it *is* blue, I'll give them that!"

Another fortnightly business luncheonette at The Keel Row with Young Malcolm.
Used Morrisons' Amazon Returns machine for the first time, today. Once I'd FOUND the machine (hidden away in the entrance behind the potted plants), it was a surprisingly painless process. Well done, all. Let's see if they refund is as straightforward (I'm not holding my breath).
Island of Terror book on British SF films.
Some of this weekend's reading. A proper dip into tome! British SF films through the years.
Decent book, that. Local author, apparently.
Well, that's tonight sorted ...
Always listen to your granny, she knows what's what.
What do you have to say about this, Mr McQuickly? 'I *have* had tea. Lots of tea. Indian tea. *And* biscuits.' Your response, Chief Constable?
Good morning world. Lookin' good.
I particularly enjoyed that bit of The Devil's Planet containing Bret Yvon's revelation of exactly were the Taranium [sic] that Mavic Chen has supplied the Daleks with to power their Time Destructor actually originates.
Yes, I think I've *seen* that particular movie. More than once.
Today's general mood.
It IS me. For some reason the link to Facebook remains on my phone, though not on the laptop. So, I will be using it occasionally, just to check with you guys and see what's going on. Yes, you can indeed fiend me up.
A good question. One deserving a good answer. If i ever find one, I'll let you know.
Oh, mate - trust me, I've *been* there.
Annoying is the least of it. I DO still have a Facebook link, for some reason I can get access on my phone, though not on my laptop, so I can check in on you guys. But, yes, it's really, really, really inconvenient and I am, frankly God Damn Pissed Orf about the entire situation. Just sayin'.
THIS is why we need @marklewisohn.bsky.social and his peerless work SO badly.

Top man! xxx
It's bastard-well happened AGAIN. I've been back on Facebook for FOUR DAYS and, I try to log on this morning and get this ... That's it, I'm out of there.
A necessary evil, sadly. If it wasn't for the fact that most of the networking I do in my work takes place via Facebook, I'd've jacked the fucker in years ago.
Not exactly, that was hacking-related rather than Facebook itself, but it was - and remains - equally as infuriating.
Well, it is - but it's also, in a very real way, MY loss because I was in daily contact with about 500 people, the majority of whom aren't on here, and now I'm completely out of the loop. And I'm God damned pissed off about it, frankly.
So, if anybody's waiting for a reply from me there, you'll be waiting a forever I'm afraid. I'm not going to go through all the clart I did last time to try (and fail) to get reinstated. That's me and Fuckbook finished. I'd appreciate it if you could spread the word re what's happened. Thanks.
Anyone that's fiended me on Fuckbook, this morning I logged only to be told I had to prove I'm human (I am, I have a birth certificate) and then to provide a video. I did so. An hour later I was told my account had been deactivated and I could not appeal this decision. I'm a pariah, apparently.
Bloggerisationism ahoy. I know, I know, that's two in a week - what can I say, I'm bored!

I think the first 10ish laps of the Aussie Grand Prix (up to the first VSC) with Young George and Young Chas going at it, leapfrogging each other each lap might be most excited I've been watching F1 since the 90s! God that was good. Race leaders changing every lap? *That'll* never catch on!
