Whilst I love the idea of this platform it doesn’t really seem to have gained any momentum so this is my last post. Still on FaceBook, Instagram, X and threads as @babblingbates #lastpost

As the sun sets in Cromer we are celebrating a busy week. The holiday home became ours yesterday, first guests arrived today and we bought our home at auction on Tuesday.

Ready for a rest now!

Had such a lovely walk this evening, enjoying this lovely town

Had an amazing evening at Sundown at The Grove, Cromer, a giant tipi in their lovely grounds. We went for their tapas share board which was brilliant.

Topped off by a stunning sunset on the walk home.

I think I’ve given this platform a good chance but can’t really see any progress so think it’s time to call it a day

A wander around the Museum and Catherdral in Kirkwall this morning then off to explore the amazing scenery of Orkney.

Found the perfect spot for the night, right next to a beach, so a glass of wine seemed in order

What an amazing trip to the Farne Islands, somewhere we’ve wanted to go to for a while.

Serenity Farne Island Boat Tours were amazing, giving us a thorough tour of the outer islands followed by a landing on Inner Farne, a truly amazing place so well managed by the National Trust.

We have visited Whitley Bay before but only briefly, travelling on the Metro when staying in Newcastle and we really liked it but it was a little tired, like so many seaside resorts.

Returning yesterday we were surprised at the huge amount of development work that has been completed, looking great

There was a huge commotion yesterday evening as we walked down to the Scarborough seafront with fire, police, RNLI, coastguard & air ambulance.

A car with a male occupant had left the pier but he was pulled to safety and was apparently OK.

After two nights in Newark having a few adjustments made to the motorhome are spending our first night off-grid in good old Skeggeh (Skegness).

As you would image, it’s very quiet, which we love.

So on our own now, no electric hook-up and relying on our own water supply. The journey begins!

In a series of lasts we had our final ice cream from the wonderful Harbour Bar this afternoon.

It’s certainly on the list of things we’ll miss about Scarborough

The first production motorhome is considered to be the Pierce-Arrow Touring Landau, introduced in 1910 by the American luxury car manufacturer.

It was actually a modified touring car with a folding back seat that could sleep two people.

The global motorhome market is now in excess of $40billion

We’re in the planning stage for our year long (or so) trip around the UK coast and are searching for interesting places to add to the itinerary.

Any suggestions please, either on the coast or nearby, in England, Wales and Scotland?
