Yes, i completely agree. i was raised in the catholic faith and, ever since I was a child, i’ve been fascinated by the life of Jesus; i love his iconography and the art that has been created around him, but, above all, i see a person very different from the one portrayed in religion.

Perhaps Jesus would identify more with a transgender person than with the average christian today; they would probably crucify him all over again for his human rights activism.

I’ve drawn lots of things that are clearly critical, but sometimes that’s not the intention; i drew Jesus from a trans perspective. i think that if all religions are free to offer their own interpretation, i have the right to do so too, without needing to be offensive

Well, last weekend i was inundated with criticism for sharing a drawing of Jesus. i’m not religious, but i’m fascinated by biblical themes and the figure of Jesus, and i love drawing things related to that. i hope no one takes offence when i decide to share similar things in the future. <3
