Did they forget they were writing it in the middle of the writing?
In the UK, a man asked a Bakerloo driver:
“Is it safe for a Jew to ride the Bakerloo line?”
The driver replied:
“Not when I’m driving.”
At a time when antisemitic incidents have surged across the UK, this isn’t just one comment.
People ask why Jews feel unsafe.
This is why.
I got nothing
Love it!
Could be. Could also be that thing where we have bases loaded/no outs twice and can't score.
That was a wallop
I'm interested in the subject matter. You were confrontational, accusatory, and not actually paying any attention to what I was saying.
Please leave me alone.

Oh, yeah. I see. I'm actually pretty agnostic about stuff like that. A politician will give a 45-minute speech, two minutes will be about how progressives use too much jargon as a form of in-group signaling, and Bluesky will throw a fit about it.
If that's the kind of thing you're talking about.
I don't know what this means.
Okay, let me put this another way. What you're doing here is not interesting to me. It's like talking to a drunk at the bar. You're just pulling shit out of your ass to argue for argument's sake. It's annoying. You're centering yourself, and I'm not going to engage with you any further.
Muted.
Okay. I'm going to move on now. I'll keep an eye out for that daily conversation here on social media in which people demand that Japan should be wiped off the face of the Earth — in the same way they talk about Israel.
That's definitely real, for sure. You're doing great.
Really? You see people arguing that Japan does not have a right to exist? That's what you're going with now?
Funny how rarely I see people arguing that Pakistan and Japan should be wiped off the face of the Earth. It's almost like there's one country on the planet that functions as a kind of scapegoat or symbol. That's weird, huh?
Friend, you said something dumb. You got caught up in your own rhetoric and said something goofy. It happens. Own it.
Really? What about a Palestinian state? Do you support that?
Ha! I literally just said sanctions could be very effective.
Okeydokey. You take care now. I'm going to move on.
You understand that the problem existed before the occupation, right?
Sure. I think a judicious use of sanctions could be very effective, particularly in terms of raining in some of the more violent settlers. I do not think turning Israel into North Korea tomorrow will go well, particularly for the Palestinians.
There is no silver bullet here, and you have to be aware of the possible repercussions and unattended consequences of your actions. That is how geopolitics works. That is what makes it different from social media where there's no such thing as accountability.
That's why I said carrot-and-stick.
Look, if you just want to do the "Israel is bad and they're bad because they're bad and they're bad" thing, I'm not interested.
If you actually want to have a conversation about how to get out of this mess, I'm happy to do that.
It is a universally acknowledged truth that people who say "it can't get worse" are almost always proven wrong.
I've never heard of this act and I'm sure I'm not the first person to make this observation but "Grateful Dan" is a much better name?
kash Patel refers to humorous cultural references as "refs."
As in "Sick refs, bro. Everybody knows you've got the sickest refs."
Very Dr. Robby of you
I don't believe you are necessarily correct. Again, a further radicalized Israel untethered from the need to cater to American public opinion could easily become far more dangerous.
Carrot and stick makes more sense to me
