Sadly, it’s even worse when the users are internal. Then everyone thinks they’re an SME. Users aren’t “paying,” so the misconception is that there is no cost of a bad UX. A persona becomes a job title completely divorced from real people.

So far, if I get flaxseed on my skin, I get bad hives but no anaphylactic reaction (like when I eat it). And it’s immediate. When I’ve accidentally eaten it, my lips and tongue flare up in the first bite. Benadryl staved off EpiPen. For now.
I’m allergic to flaxseed. The number of times I’ve been told “Flaxseed is proven to be very healthy and good for you. You can’t be allergic to it.” And it’s an ingredient often left off the list - like in beer and cosmetics. Ask me how I know.
Listened yesterday morning & thought it was going to be a fun hate watch. Instead, we got sucked in, binging it all. How do you know they think nothing is wrong when you see them doing all the things required for life? Are acts of resistance not counted if not posted on social media? Does anxiety have to be observed to be real? Responding differently than you to what’s wrong is still a response.
