I'm looking after my friend's sheepdog, she's a proper work dog.. If you want to know the difference.. The first picture is my dog after a 10k run, the second picture is a work dog after a 10k run.. πππ±
Marmalade comes from the Portuguese word marmelada which means Marmelo (quince) jam/paste.. It became popular in the UK and people started experimenting using oranges.. Brexiters are now telling the continent/country that created it, that quince jam can't be made from anything else but oranges.
Spring is here... embracing the morning sun, doing my yoga.. downward dog.. π±
"We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect." - Aldo Leopold π±π
I absolutely love taking volunteers out on conservation work, they inspire me so much, such a good group, we're all different, we all have different political views, different generations, but we all love nature. Gives me hope. Some of these people are in their late 80s, absolute warriors. π±
He's back in his pond now. .. Dragonflies will be out soon in March.. Spring is here.. You/volunteers do a lot of hard graft in winter and hopefully everyone/the public sees the results in spring.
I called this fella Isak.π±
It's the last day of the year when you can do ditch work on wetlands, water voles start listening to Barry White and getting it on in March, apparently.. People actually volunteer their time to do this work, and I can assure you, it's knackering. Thankyou to all volunteers. #π±
I'm lucky enough to have access to a beaver sanctuary, good news that these little eco warriors are being let loose around the country. Not many times in life has my jaw dropped, but my jaw well and truly dropped seeing what these miraculous creatures can do. π±

I'm unique.. This is my favourite time of year.. I drove to work on a cold crisp day in hertfordshire, and the sky was blue and there was a low lying fog and a white blanket of frost on the English countryside.. and the sun. I honestly thought I had died and I was in heaven.. It was breath taking.
I was surveying an ancient woodland. It was very cold and I was waiting for a colleague before I entered the woods. A wonderful old man came out of his house with a cup of tea.. "Are you the custodian of my wood? If you're lucky you might see the fairies"
Thought he was senile. Bright as a buttonπ±
Absolutely stunning day out today.. amazing coppiced hornbeam wood.. thank you Albury.. Very lucky if you live there. π±
We had a lot of young talent win seats in those elections, and I don't see any of them in the media. My MP won my Tory seat for the first time in its history.. He's nowhere to be seen.. Let's see some young blood, fresh faces.
That is a stunning photo
Have to say, I'm hesitant about banning things, I really am. But I have no issue with X being banned, it is an absolute cesspool of hate, can't even begin to imagine the damage it's doing to our youth. Get outside kids, meet people, go take your dog for a walk in the countryside. π±
Merry Christmas to everyone.. what a beautiful day.
If you love nature, you're my family... β€οΈππ±
My father was a police officer... not into that.
And they come home to their child at Christmas.
They're from the 60s.. they started woke.
I basically eat this every day at work.
For me it's out detachment from our surroundings that's the problem. I have no issue with a community that eats meat but has a respect for it, they have respect for their environment, their place on the trophic scale. People just stuffing their face with chicken nuggets, no respect for life.
How can you not take this for a walk!? you win dog.... you win.. β€οΈ π±
Today, right now, is the youngest you will ever be.. don't waste it.
National Trust... Nostell Priory.. jam, scones and cream.. mate... heaven... β€οΈ
You go girl, what an amazing job/institution.
Jeeesus how depressing... π₯Ή She needs to get on Tinder....
π Sorry mate... it makes sense in my head.. π
Well I mentioned Ed, in the same breath as I vote for my local MP who is outstanding.. My point is I don't vote for Starmer, I vote for my local M/labour.. I vote for Ed in charge of Net zero, rather than some racist moron from the Tory party who thinks we shouldn't be vaccinated.
