Which aparently was a mortal sin for some of the same leftists now trying to rehabilitate MTG and Tucker.

Oh for sure. If they can get the odd Republican on board for a given issue that's fine. See: Liz Cheny stumping with Harris on the sole issue of protecting America from Trump
I think Ali Alexander was asked shortly after J6 how he determines if a election was fair or stolen, and he said flat out that any election a Republican wins was fair and any election a Democrat wins is stolen.
This sort of stuff (and them saying it out loud) goes back a ways.
Xavier Becerra, I expect.
Sure, he's an annoying grifter, but at least he's an effective legislator with lots of milestone laws passes that he authored or co-sponsored.
Wait, I'm being handed a note.
"Not every show needs queer characters" Well, not every show needs 25 straight white carbon copies of the same characters from every other show ever aired in the history of television, yet here we are with ten thousand of you on TV and one of me if I'm lucky. How dare you eat a feast, throw me a bone while I'm starving, and then tell me to be happy that I'm finally equal to you you spoiled entitled brat.
This is an entire mood. Yes.
The only folks I've seen saying that recently are folks like Omar and Hogg who want to break bread with MTG and Tucker.
That's one wierd lookin dog
10 years ago this would be a non-story. Now it could lead to an outbreak.
Bullshit. He is was VA campaigning his ass of to get this thing passed. What the fuck did you do?
Because you are a fool.
No rights are inalienable. The voters are the first line if defense against tyranny. No system of government can protect anyone's rights if the voters decide they don't its not important to do so by the choice of candidates they vote into office.
The tightest framework in the world won't fix an electorate that either willfully chose a convicted felon and rapist for president or didnt think that person was enough of a threat to vote against him.
And of course one dude was in the comments saying Jeffries only "likes' the VA result because the new districts won't be as deep blue as others which means more moderate candidates.
Plenty of Dems are doing that, all over the place and all the time. Why do you insist Jeffries and Schumer also must do these things? Their jobs are a lot more involved and hands-on than most legislators, who can show up for votes and the occasional committee meeting and then go do other shit.
This is quite literally what people on here say they want Jeffries to say and do, and they are STILL in the comments shitting on him for it, or even still saying he needs to "Do Something" (because they don't actually pay attention to anything and don't know what happened in VA).
You're right, they don't do a lot of performative stuff. Because they're focused on doing their jobs, which is actually getting stuff done (where possible) and hindering the GOP legislative agenda. There are lots of Dems doing what you say you want, btw - why do Schumer and Jeffries have to do it?
I don't think he likes it at all, but the GOP started this in Texas and the Dems have to play the game now or risk not regaining a House majority for another 10 years.

Well, they won't. Now what?
It's funny, because there have been numerous dozens upon dozens instances in the past 18 months of Jeffries doing exactly what y'all want him to do, and each time - without fail - you all say he's "finally doing something" and then immediately forget he did it.
They are literally doing it right now. Virginia just passed a new map that will most likely flip its congressional delegation for 6-5 Dem to 10-1 Dem.
Aparently that is what a whole bunch of American voters want to see.
Well, he won't. Now what?
And who would you like to see replace him?
Hegsethian?
Nope. He was against the GOP doing mid-decade redistricting in, but he was also very vocal about supporting counter-punches in Dem-led states if the GOP went through with their plans.
Here's an article from last June if him warning the GOP what was to come.

How dare these Democrats so maliciously do to Virginia what Republicans so lovingly did in Texas.
It just breaks my heart.
Republicans: do something heinous and terrible.
Democrats: Republicans are doing this heinous and terrible thing and they have total control of everything but we are fighting however we can.
People on here to Democrats: Why aren't you fighting? Fuck you! Useless!
People to Republicans:
...
The election was not fixed by Thiel and Musk.
The election was decided by American voters who fell for Thiel and Musk's bullshit.
But the Voters did it.
They need to own it.
So, true to form, he is going to pay way too much for something that someone else built, change the name to something with a "X" in it, "fix" it until it only works half as well as it used to, then spend the next 10 years telling everyone he's the smartest boy for "creating" it.
