I wore them throughout the week (mind you I’ve used this brand style for years) BUT not enough for my foot to fully swell I guess. It appears that with the newest model there were some micro size changes so when my foot got “full size” I got hot foot. Aka shoe too small 🥺

If I had a nickel for every time I’m about to start the Camino and realize my shoes are too small so I have to buy emergency shoes en el Corte Inglés, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it’s happened twice…

While the arches hint to ruined grandeur, the brokenness of the church points to redemption. The sunlight casting patches of sun and shadow tell a story of hope in brokenness. The Spirit danced in that space tickling me in bursts of breeze. Holy ground, Holy truth.

Near my town is a cemetery that lies on and in, and around the ruins of a gothic church. It’s one of the thinnest places I’ve ever experienced. In a space full of ruin and full of death I felt the deepest peace. Seeing graves in the nave and on the chancel felt right, was right.

I live in a town on the spiritual variant of the Portuguese Camino. It’s finally pilgrim season 🥹.

The most cultureshocky thing about Spain for me is the cost of over the counter medicine. It’s so expensive here and I knew it conceptually but now I feel it.
