Trump always appoints questionable people.

Former Secretary of the Navy John Phelan never served in the military but did fly at least twice in Epstein's plane.

His successor, Hung Cao, claims to have been “blown up” in combat. But there is no Purple Heart or other evidence to support such claim.

Along with those, they say you need to have least 1 of 2 others: 4) difficulty thinking, memory, or info processing; &/or 5) orthostatic intolerance (dizziness, feeling faint, nausea, headaches increased thinking difficulty) that feels better when you lie down.

IOM 2015 Diagnostic Criteria Clinicians can use the 2005 IOM criteria to diagnose ME/CFS.

Here's the link to their criteria. I'd misremembered. They have 3 required symptoms: 1) big drop in ability to do activities that used to come easily for you that lasts 6+ mos; 2) PEM/ energy crashes after exertion; & 3) unrefreshing or disrupted sleep… 👇🏻 www.cdc.gov/me-cfs/hcp/d...

Yes, absolutely! Stress can cause it, as can too much sensory stimulus, or too much/ too intense an emotional, social or cognitive effort can cause PEM. Some people have food, taste, or chemical insensitivities that trigger PEM.

Sure thing.

(re PEM, it's =the= signature for ME/CFS. If you have PEM, according to the Institutes of Medicine, you have ME/CFS. They count the rest of the symptoms as "often comes with…" rather "must have…". Let me see if I can find that link for you.)

ME/CFS is often misdiagnosed as depression. (Of course, a person can have both.)

And Lyme. And Bartonella. And the protozoan diseases. And Lone Star, and the cocktails of ME/CFS and other things. . . .

We have millions of us out there, hanging on. Only a fraction know why we are ill. Took me 19 doctors to find one who ran a different test. :(

All this sounds a lot like my experience with PEM, tbh.

Also, Diana’s right on the mark re POTS. It’s common but not necessary for a diagnosis of ME/CFS. Here’s an online symptom screener dePaul University set up a while back: daqscreen.com

(sorry for the deleted replies; they said the same thing as the above but with sloppier wording)

For me, back before I got so sick, PEM felt like a full-body hangover, along with a lingering low-energy feeling that lasted for a few days to a week, and made me want to curl up on the couch. I thought it was job burnout.

It worsened over the years as I continued pushing through it.

Trump DOJ falsely tells court it doesn't want voter data to purge rolls Agreements suggest DOJ is not just reviewing voter rolls, but attempting to identify problems and directing states, under deadline, to remove voters.

🚨BREAKING: The U.S. Department of Justice told a federal court Tuesday that it does not intend to use sensitive voter data it collects to remove people from voter rolls — even as its own agreements with states suggest otherwise. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

I just finished writing my reflections on tonight's big win in Virginia. I've been fighting this fight for ten years, including three cases in SCOTUS. Tonight we won a big one at the ballot box.

"This failure of biological recovery does not occur in healthy controls, deconditioned people, or in other chronic diseases... It is not fatigue. Rather, it is failed metabolic recovery."
This is one of the best- written pieces I've read. The body uses energy not just for activity but also to relax.

YES. ❤️❤️❤️

I left the U.S. because I was never going to get a diagnosis. Doctors were too afraid it was medicogenic and could be sued.
During those 7 years, I was bounced around specialists and talked into many unnecessary treatments that worsened my condition, including thyroid removal. Unthinkable in the UK!

And I think about all the people suffering with this illness who don't even know what that anvil on their head is, because ME/CFS has been so neglected by medical science and clinical education. Millions missing, indeed. (How many millions was that, again? 😒)

But there are no medical resources. Getting diagnosed and onto disability is what put me into permanent bedknobs without the broomsticks. And my younger child has this cursed illness too, with no official dx. Our care is all on my husband's back.

(Re progression, same-same. I'm USian, 68yo, bedbound 22-23 of 24 hrs. I managed to get in with a specialist in CA, and have a good local care team—whom I had to educate, but were willing to learn and committed to helping me, despite the tremendous pressure our broken HC system puts on them too).

Gallego: "You said…Trump never demanded you cut interest rates in your job interview. Is that your sworn testimony?"

Warsh: "That is."

Gallego: "Someone here is lying then, it's either you or President Trump."

That's a really bad answer from Warsh.

Warsh could have shut up a lot of naysayers about his independence from Trump if he simply answered who won the 2020 election.

He chose not to.
