Platelets drive immune suppression and glioblastoma growth in a sex-dependent manner via PAR4 signaling Sex differences in cancer outcomes, including glioblastoma (GBM), are shaped by biological, hormonal, and immune factors, influencing disease progression, treatment responses, survival, and the tumor ...

Excited to share our new preprint. We are only beginning to understand the role of platelets in sex-biased immunity in glioblastoma. Grateful for awesome colleagues, collaborators and the fantastic mentorship from @gbm-maestro.bsky.social and @2scottish.bsky.social

Emotional day going home to Drexel Biomed - was a privilege to pay homage to the legacy of a true legend - Dr. Banu Onaral- she was the true epitome of servant leadership, truly blessed to have you as part of my life 🙏

Thinking about this more - why? Why would you do this in such a manner? Recruiting is hard, why make it more difficult on yourself? Those of us who do this routinely know these are necessary steps but can be done before the official offer is given. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Sad to hear the news about the recent passing of Dr. Banu Onaral (R). She was the former dean of the school of biomedical engineering at Drexel - many of us benefited from her incredible support - she will truly be missed. We all are where we are at because of someone, she is that person for me.
