Excited to share our new preprint. We are only beginning to understand the role of platelets in sex-biased immunity in glioblastoma. Grateful for awesome colleagues, collaborators and the fantastic mentorship from @gbm-maestro.bsky.social and @2scottish.bsky.social

Great to be with the VeloSano trainees and discuss their important contributions to cancer research here at Cleveland Clinic Research - excited to spend time with next generation who will impact cancer 💪🏽
Congrats! So well deserved 💪🏽

For sure - when in Rome (or Miami)
@gbm-maestro.bsky.social & team discover glioblastoma tumors produce spermidine and drive tumor progression by inducing T cell death: https://www.jci.org/articles/view/177824

Great lab family reunion in the 305 with @dbayik.bsky.social and @dionysioswatson.bsky.social
On a separate post, just mentioned the trip back to Philadelphia to celebrate her legacy.
Emotional day going home to Drexel Biomed - was a privilege to pay homage to the legacy of a true legend - Dr. Banu Onaral- she was the true epitome of servant leadership, truly blessed to have you as part of my life 🙏
Thinking about this more - why? Why would you do this in such a manner? Recruiting is hard, why make it more difficult on yourself? Those of us who do this routinely know these are necessary steps but can be done before the official offer is given. 🤦🏽♂️
It was a team effort working with two talented med students to co-author this brief report @alan__cr7 @austin_kennemer and great getting feedback from mentors and experts in the field @gbm-maestro.bsky.social @2scottish.bsky.social @alokkhorana.bsky.social
Great to spend time with Lathia Lab Family member @samuelsprowls.bsky.social now at Duquesne - Thanks for the invite!
Sad to hear the news about the recent passing of Dr. Banu Onaral (R). She was the former dean of the school of biomedical engineering at Drexel - many of us benefited from her incredible support - she will truly be missed. We all are where we are at because of someone, she is that person for me.
New paper out of the lab in JCI - congrats Kristen on leading this great effort and identifying a new metabolite that directly suppresses T cells in GBM - www.lerner.ccf.org/news/article...
I will certainly try! I am new to this myself, and still trying to figure things out.
What a party! Thanks so much for the invite. Great to celebrate the holidays with you all 🎄🎅
