abstract expressionist study, gestural marks, fragmented forms, under a crescent moon, dark snow-capped Carpathians, a bright meteor splits the sky, colour field interaction, implied rather than literal, rhythmic composition --ar 5:7 --stylize 300 --v 7
These trees grow wood without being cut down. In Japan, an ancient technique called Daisugi has been doing exactly that since the 14th century. [🎞️ thebrainmaze]

The moon shines bright. In such a night as this,
When the sweet wind did gently kiss the trees
And they did make no noise

A dark band of cloud, backlit by the sun, hangs in a yellow & grey sky. The muted horizon is capped by grey & white clouds. The foreground is shadowy outlines of conifers. The whole scene has a warm sunny morning glow to it.

The writing prompt asked me to jot down the first thing that came to mind. That was immediately a problem. What was the first thing? I had several thoughts at once, and the harder I tried to identify which one came first, the less I knew. So…

Super red aurora above our heads! The snow was red as well! ♥️♥️♥️
A dramatic aurora borealis display over the Chena Hills near Fairbanks, Alaska, photographed from the Granite Tors Trail. The aurora forms an unusual folded wave structure across the center of the frame, with bright green curtains curling and swirling in a pattern resembling ocean waves. Stars are visible throughout the dark sky above. Bare shrubs and silhouetted black spruce trees line the snow-covered foreground. A warm orange glow from Fairbanks and North Pole light pollution is visible low on the right horizon, approximately 40 miles away.
