join the wulfdog? :3
Look how much you've improved!!
What helps is that I'm watching the anime simultaneously and was like "ha ha I got a Caterpie just like ash did tee hee" and then it evolved SUPER QUICK and things just starting dying in our path
Horrific little bug man
I used ALL of my potions, went back and bought more, and used ALL OF THEM AGAIN.
I tried to prepare and it wasn't enough. I came out of that cave LIMPING lmao.
What does the Moon Stone do exactly? I heard it makes pokemon stronger but I've been holding back on using it.
(Going guideless)
Regardless, I was definitely tired of it by the time I was done lol. Happy to get back to plodding on the main path.
I will say, it was around two SOLID days of grinding, on and off. I was mostly satisfied when most of them evolved at least once, and then to keep the team balanced I tried to get everyone to catch up to my L20 Pikachu. Sandshrew seems to be holding back that Sandslash evolution though...
Butterfree was a GOAT against Brock by the way, using Confusion against all his rock types was basically an automatic win. Butterfree is also my most "under leveled" pokemon at L16.
Still absolutely wrecks anything in its path.
It happened organically, I just would see a cool pokemon that had a specific type and I'd be like "well that would plug a weakness in my team"
Also Magikarp, Bulbasaur, and Charmander were either sold or literally GIVEN to me, otherwise those slots would still be empty lol
and ALL of them have eyes and voicelines
Lovely Bird Songs πΆ
The first panel shows a crow with the title "How to live a good life". The second panel shows a crow cawing at itself in the mirror with the subheading "Make friends". The next panel says "Explore" and shows a crow looking into a commercial waste bin. The next says "Try new things" with a crow eating something vile. The next one says "Be curious" and shows the crow grabbing a hissing cat's tail". The final frame says "Get a hobby" and shows the crow looking closely at a book of matches.

sonic adventure 2
Shout-out to the fact that a simple courier quest had me go to a Necromancer's island and fight a bunch of skeletons and it was just treated as like another day another dollar. This is typical stuff for adventurers in The Elder Scrolls. It was like one dungeon in Daggerfall, I'd done plenty of these
Getting thrown in prison after the fight didn't make me feel like I did something wrong. It's just the next scene. And the script demands that Cyrus escape, preferably by the skin of his teeth!
When I got to the Palace, Cyrus calls out the governor and initiates open battle in the courtyard while surrounded by 3 guards
If I were roleplaying Id have been more tactful and used some espionage, but this isn't a roleplaying game
Instead I was at the edge of my seat watching the scene play out
After playing Daggerfall and Battlespire for so long, it's kind of like sitting down to chill with Raiders of the Lost Ark right after reading all the Lord of the Rings books. I'm here for a good time, and some spectacle. Wow, look at the peril! The stakes! The music! The stunts!
Like sure, your character is pre-rolled as a Redguard Fighter and all roleplaying elements are stripped away in exchange for the PS1 Adventure game format.
But simultaneously, it feels like a de-abstraction of the concepts in Daggerfall. A swordfight LOOKS AND FEELS like a swordfight.
If I wanted to be poetic about Elder Scrolls Redguard, I'd say it feels like I'm playing a promise.
A semi-complex quest with a mystery element on an island with two towns and a handful of locations.
It's like saying "This is what Morrowind will be, but more. Just wait. We're working on it."
Technical issues notwithstanding, but even then I'm hardly even having any issues. One freeze so far in like 3 hours of gameplay, and I had to look up two controls (how to guard, how to swing on rope) and otherwise game is going very smooth. I had way more issues in less time in Battlespire.
Holy fucking shit I'm actually really enjoying Elder Scrolls Redguard
Like, I'm SHOCKED by how much I'm enjoying it
It's basically Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia combined but you're a pirate
How can you not love that
