True! We talk about the reason why they want the creature to have a name, and what it means that Victor did not name him. Such a great piece of writing.

The YEARS I taught this novel..... that was the one thing that took time to clear up. Then each class, independently, wanted to give the creature some name. I get it.

I think it could be a tool that's a small part of a larger whole that sets the original ideas and primary / source texts first. This could come in as a way to help students be skeptical of the LLM generated content that might extend beyond just the activity.

I like the term "digital necromancy," and I agree with several points, but I think we could also use some of these tools to encourage skepticism. What do the figures misrepresent? How can a student support that with what they've learned about the person?

Sometimes when I feel the world is burning, I watch Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Watched it Wednesday, and realized it seems more like a guide to getting through these times now more than ever.
