Hexagon cardi still growing. Just about 2 balls left of the Athena Antique, going to use them to finish the sleeves then extend the bottom edge as far as I can with what's left. Ballsed up a proper collar but next time I'll know.
That was more or less my thoughts.
@mikebatt.bsky.social Jaguar have called their new car design Zero Zero. I can't help but wonder how you feel about this.
I am going to have to try that. Thanks!
Does the work start at the top, and progress like a c2c? For me, anything is easier than working into a foundation chain so I stick with c2c type cluster patterns, or working in the round. I have some fine cotton and I was thinking to try dragonscale if it isn't worked in straight rows.
The largest item I've ever made, double bed sized scrap yarn blanket for the van. Used a lot of oddments and all the pink I had because I won't use anything I make in pink alone. C2C, two strands DK together, with a 6 or 5.5 hook depending on the yarn seeming thicker or thinner.
Goals? Lol
They can be stronger than you think, and do the same thing for hours 😅 (I'm a carer for a living.) we had two ladies with them where I work, but as soon as there's loose bits the manager whisks them away.
I love these. Attach everything VERY securely, avoid fluff. Helps if it's all washable too.

I'm so glad 5 balls of this fell into my Knitting Network basket. I don't even care if I never wear this cardigan, I'm enjoying making it, even though I frogged hours of work yesterday before I got the pattern right. The COLOURS. And it's so soft.
It looks like a very serious meeting😸
When people who design yarn design yarn like this, what are they expecting it will be used for?
It's not scratchy exactly, but there's not enough fluff for warmth. Should I be thinking DC (yuck, hope not) or a more open work thing like a virus or circular shawl? I have about 6 balls of it.
That moment when you can't find your phone but you were using it a minute ago.. just before you turned the washing machine on..
Aww the happy trotting

Found an error in my latest crochet WIP so it's sitting in the corner having a good long think about what it did, while I pretend I'm driving a lorry in Portugal.

Impulse purchase from Lidl is finally being used. I always grab too much for one small item but not enough for a big one. It feels "squeaky" and not really soft or warm but it's not going to be next to skin, the cuffs and collar will be from Paintbox aran which I hope will work up softer.
I'm sorry there hasn't been enough will of those in power internationally to stop all this by now. It's shameful.
Same. I hear or see or even blunder into a topic while riding a random train of thought and thats it, that's my Next Big Thing.
Likely it will come back, but likely you won't be able to choose when.
I think I've just found my next cardigan project.. Is there a pattern, or did you cross the hexagon with the shells/virus pattern yourself? The thought of doing that scares my brain.
Crochet is one of my hobbies, at least a couple of months in every year I'm either hooking away or hunting for inspiration, or both.
I decide I want to then can't decide which type and wonder if i will have enough of the right yarn then think I might waste it or not finish it so I don't.

I have such an aversion to using the new things that I've pulled out an old half finished project and I'm using the old yarn instead until I feel I "deserve" to use the new one.
Which could be months from now.. But if I rush into something with new materials I aways worry I might regret it.
New yarn, new account, new post.. No clue.
I've lost whole days like that. At least.. I think I have.
I mean.. It's fitting..
Barely here, struggling to make sense of it. Deluged with cartoons and other crap initially and now can't see anything other than posts from the few accounts I've followed. Not followed more accounts because not sure how to find accounts I'm interested in. So far .. It's a bit boring.
thats cos you keep trying to get people to come over here :p
Not yet.. I only just got here.
