Yaaay! ๐ธ
Two more weeks until our next #CatChatBookClub meeting ๐ธ
Howโs the reading going? Thereโs still plenty of time to embrace our monthly theme if you want to challenge yourself ๐
Here are some suggestions of books you might read, including one which mum has just finished! She loved it ๐ธ

#catchatbookclub This sounds good; I'll look forward to reading a New Zealand mystery with a Mฤori angle. I enjoy authors from countries other than mine - big fan of Scottish, Scandi, Australian, etc cultures & atmospheres. eg: Denise Mina, Kate Atkinson, Evie Wyld, Emily Spurr, Stieg Larsson...๐
#Catchatbookclub We love all these pawsome recommendations! ๐
Thank you @amayna60.bsky.social
Yaay! So glad youโve like it! Do let us know what you choose. Mum still hasnโt decided yet ๐ค #catchatbookclub
Cover of โBetter The Bloodโ by Michael Bennett.
I also read the first Hana Westerman novel by Michael Bennett! Hana is a DSS on the Auckland police force and a woman of Mฤori heritage. Modern murders tie back to a historic incident, touching on how indigenous people were treated back then, as well as now. #CatChatBookClub
Our themes are just for fun, as you know, so all book-chat will be most welcome at our next #CatChatBookClub tweetup on Sunday 26 April 2026 at 8pm UK time ๐ธ๐
Do let us know what books you choose to read!
๐ฃ Time to meow about our theme for APRIL 2026 #CatChatBookClub
We were thrilled to receive a suggestion from dear pals @cathyandchester.bsky.social for us to read books associated with DAYS OF THE WEEK or MONTHS OF The YEAR or even a SEASON ๐ธ๐ in title, author name, storyline (1 of 2)
Cover of โPast Lyingโ by Val McDermid.
Iโm continuing to read through Val McDermidโs DCI Karen Pirie novels; โPast Lyingโ is my fav so far! The covid lockdown setting adds to the complexity of investigating the teamโs historic case, as well as the subplots and personal impacts. #CatChatBookClub
We love a plot twist at #catchatbookclub ๐ธ @delaneykirk.bsky.social
Yaay! So good to see you, pals ๐ธโค๏ธ๐ #catchatbookclub
We hope you love it ๐ธโค๏ธ #catchatbookclub
Definitely! ๐ธ ๐ #catchatbookclub
New Jack Reacher book. We need more Jacks in this world!

Simon is a black and white cat. He is inside a cat tree that looks like a red post box. He is looking at a book. The book he is looking at is The Power of Meow by David Michie.
3rd Dalai Lama cat book.
This one was helpful for me in thinking of Jude ๐
Right book, right time, what I needed.

Simon is a black and white cat. He is inside a cat tree that looks like a red post box. He is smelling a book. The book is Twice by Mitch Albom.
I wanted it for Jan theme, but had to wait my turn from the library.
This guy can redo parts of life twice. There are rules about love & death like the genie in the lamp from Aladdin. Another excellent Mitch Albom. #catchatbookclub
It was a lovely setting. Mumโs grandad was born & raised in Wales. Mum has never visited. Sheโs even more determined to go there now! #catchatbookclub
Pawsome! ๐ธ
Happy Birthday #CatChatBookClub ๐ป๐
right now we're reading Kill For Me, Kill For You - Steve Cavanagh excellent Hitchcockian type book, very good read, a real page turner ๐โค๏ธ
Thanks pals ๐ธโค๏ธ๐๐
Ooh mum read Fifty Fifty by Steve Cavanagh a couple of years ago & enjoyed it! #Catchatbookclub
#CatChatBookClub as I'm still on the library waiting list for this one, I reread another, older, also atmospheric novel The Trouble with Goats and Sheep by Joanna Cannon.
Thatโs a book that mumโs heard a lot about but never read! Sheโll add it to her list ๐ธ๐ Thank you! #catchatbookclub
For this monthโs theme, Mum read โLove Untoldโ recommended on Twitter at last monthโs #CatChatBookClub & she absolutely LOVED it. The plot, themes, setting & characters were superb. For a heartwarming story which spans 4 generations of wonderful women, look no further.
๐ฃ Welcome to a v special #CatChatBookClub March 2026.
Itโs the SEVENTH Birthday of our lovely Book Club which has grown from its small beginnings (on Twitter) in 2019! ๐ธ๐ ๐
And what better way to celebrate than by sharing our thoughts on books recommended right here?!! But we love ALL book chat๐ธ๐
Thank you pals. We change our clocks next week ๐ธ
