California Humanities, the nonprofit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

If you have the capacity to donate before end of year, do consider this organization. Perhaps $5.00 or $50 in honor of its 50th?

Dr @hollyguise.bsky.social has written a powerful book on the history of Alaska, Native internment and resilience, and World War II. Along the way, she centers Native voices through archival research & oral history. It made me feel deeply, which is why I will return to it time and time again.
