Those amazing Artemis II astronauts gave a shout out for the veterinary profession. That's cool! "So if you want to be a vet, be a veterinarian. When you find that fire in your soul and know what you're meant to do, just lean all in and go for it"

Keeping look out
These AI images capture my story: upbeat vet, proud of achievements using humour to face the future, contrasted with the daily tactical grind of MS. Despite exhaustion, even eyebrows (!) & frustration of mobility stuff, nature and music can lift my mood. Life deals the hand; I choose how to play it
I saw "Project Hail Mary" at the IMAX the other night and had a fantastic time. What a tremendous movie! Might go and see it again.
‘As I walked around the fire cordon, I thought about older fires in Glasgow: the Barrowland fire in 1958, which destroyed the dance hall; the blaze at a whisky bond in Cheapside Street in 1960.’

Swan Perfect Landing
There are a whole generation of kids who grew up on Len Deighton and from him learnt five-sense writing, using a city as a character and the joys of economy. He will be missed for teaching all of that and for being a working class kid who showed us we too just might be able to be writers.
Loved these my whole life!
Oh to be a little Tardigrade walking across a microscope slide. 🫧🐻🧪
Had marvellous time helping yesterday on RCVS stand at Vet Careers & EMS Fair for @sbohvm.gla.ac.uk Glasgow Vet School students. We spoke with students on the course about their varied paths into vet medicine, EMS and future aspirations. Inspiring dedication and exciting possibilities ahead.
I'm really pleased that Kate is joining the Scottish SPCA as Chair of the board of trustees. Kate will be tremendous in this role and I look forward to working with her, along with the other trustees and the team as we support this wonderful charity.

So sorry to see that film legend Robert Duvall has died. So many truly marvellous, iconic films. I love the fact that my children were in a crowd scene for one of his lesser known movies,"A Shot at Glory"
Johnny Beattie & Una McLean appeared in Sinbad the Sailor panto at the King's Theatre, Glasgow 40 years ago. At Glasgow PDSA, I was summoned to give the pair big jags. That's what vets do! We definitely gave the biggest jags. Had done 2 years of mixed practice & similar stint in London with PDSA.

10 years since Bowie died, my goodness! This is not a new picture. Going to see Labyrinth again at the movies tomorrow.
I arrived in Edinburgh today to help with the amazing Scottish SPCA and I had the pleasure of encountering Dave who works with ScotRail Waverley Passenger Assistance. The rocking out with hats was so completely splendid we almost caused a quantum singularity on the platform.

That's two gone. Tony O'Neil, Mama Voot was killed on Byres Road, riding his bicycle many years ago. They were a special outfit indeed.
Sad news. RIP Martin McKenna, aka Eggy Beard, Chou Pahrot’s amazing violinist and "totemic surrealist" has died. This band was a big part of my growing up and we saw them countless times. Eggy, like the others, was a truly lovely, funny guy. These are two of my photies from those magical times.
Colette had to remonstrate with Miko to stop him attacking Bree on the couch. Plan B now in progress.

Glasgow Central pigeons pick,
Tomorrow's unsung
Every time I come into the station, I observe the pigeons and admire them. With a chronic ill health condition myself I strive to emulate their approach.
