I've always wanted this book, but have agreed not to buy more until I read some and free up space on the bookshelves.

I have not yet pointed out that we don't currently have any bookshelves so this agreement is invalid.

I actually just have a lot of keywords in bidspotter and this triggered my watch for "nuclear"...

Last time it went for a _lot_ more so I think the reserve is higher than my fuckit budget

I beg you, please stop re-listing this for auction, I only have so much willpower

At that phase of "doing something quickly out of curiosity" where it is no longer quick, my curiosity turned to horror, and multiple friends have asked me to stop

Except Maxx Headroom, I'll allow that

1 day ago 19 0 3 0

Can we please stop maxxing everything

Curiosity like this is how it starts, next I'll see you in the @infraclub.bsky.social slack...

A Google query for "What is the most hexagon shaped bird".

The AI summary reads: "Based on an analysis of hexagonal shapes in nature, the "most hexagon shaped bird" is not a specific species of bird, but rather the dragonfly."

This is because they shut down the Matt Hancock app. He's got nothing left.

I think they can be, but it really depends on how good the mic in your camera is!

RIGHT?! I read it and was just reminded of an average workday.

Strong recommend for birdnet-go and the associated esp32 remote microphone. Way better than the old pi-based mess.

Installed a new bird detector in the garden. Can confirm: There are birds.

This is in the same borough (Hackney) - sorry, didn't make that clear.

I'd absolutely understand if it varied between them!

Slightly different question: I've noticed that the force-you-to-lock-up-in-a-parking-spot behaviour seems to vary wildly and I can't figure out the reason?

I can lock one up outside my house (not a parking spot) without complaint, but am forced to use a parking spot 10mins down the road in Dalston.

How did they fix the click-click lock override with a software update?! Also curious how they fixed the beep-beep purely software one.

Do you have any more details?

Paging @jim.londoncentric.media to the lime reporting aisle, because I have heard from a whole bunch of people across London that they've noticed the same thing.

Would be fascinating to ask Lime about it, but I bet they won't talk.

None of us have heard a nicked Lime bike in ages - not a click click or beep beep for weeks. Have they finally fixed the known vulnerabilities?

Perhaps they were faulty and some had oozed out, making them improbably light.

Did you check for leaks.

Pleasingly your photo actually shows the cabling from the cabinet to the charger due to the fresh tarmac

3 days ago 0 0 1 1

EV charging - they're transformers, the cabling is subsurface. The installers can throw them wherever and without proper consultation.

I am furious about them, especially as these specific ones have no need to be so large. The one outside Sutton & Sons isn't even near the charger!

Asked the EMF workshops team to figure out the optimal placement of tables in workshop tents and got this in response

Jess I am sure I've told you that it's perfectly legal to keep a wild fox as a pet.

Perfectly legal, but you do have to convince the fox.

Incredible. I will now be visiting the Rochester Castle frequently in the hope of a nut crushing encounter.
