Towards a new game (9) - repeating the same thing is a sign of insanity. Attrition is boring.
This is probably a personal quirk. My games are currently “Theatre of the Mind”. Conflicts normally last about 3 rounds. All PCs “square off” against separate threats.

Good grief. This takes me back. This film is dreck, but it absolutely horrified and enraged every parent in the 1980s. I haven't thought about it in decades. Mary Whitehouse's group got people who sold copies prosecuted.

The D6 System originally developed by West End Games has been my favourite game system since my Star Wars First Edition days, so I'm confused as to why I never designed a game using this mechanic.

Artwork is hard enough but at least you can normally stick a piece of stock art or a public domain image into fill a hole. It doesn’t have to spot on.
But GRAPHICS though, that a different kettle of fish.
