10 Years ago today, I wrote this op-ed about community college in response to an ignorant comment about transfer students. I'm a proud Berkeley City College alumna & now Mayor of Berkeley, so hopefully we can change some more minds!

It feels very tense and uncertain here in DC. With the inauguration tomorrow and a snowstorm coming in today, people are on edge. Grateful to be returning to our city.

This morning, we're hearing from a Ukrainian mayor who is sharing his experience of dealing with war in his city. He shared a story of a family who lost their father. Their mother lost a leg, and their daughter lost two legs. Last week, their daughter ran in the Boston Marathon.
