I really wonder if the foot traffic for restaurants, and the hotel bookings, really financially make up for the amount of businesses that are closing this week due to lack of transport.

The idea that one major organization is enough to save millions is absurd.

They only want people to fund ONE major organization that can’t possibly help everyone. “Just donate to Planned Parenthood.” PP doesn’t pay for hotels, gas money, or flights. If people can’t get to a resource, then they don’t get the care. Major orgs leave them out. Grassroots mutual aid fills gaps.

Oh, and WHY did blue centrists start calling abortion funds “scammers”?

Because abortion funds were speaking up about Palestine.

Grassroots organizations that bend over backward to get people to vital health care appointments also get called scammers by liberals.

All this calling fundraisers scams nonsense is genuinely dangerous for fundraisers that save lives, like abortion fundraisers and trans individuals fundraising for basic needs. That’s why it’s best to block the misanthropes.
