We have been advised by Mississauga Parks staff that the section of the Culham Trail that runs between River Grove Community Centre to Bristol Rd. is flooded. Also, the river is close to topping its banks, with more rain expected.

I said we dont talk enough at council about cycling infrastructure.
One question I haven't had answered would be comparable injury stats in Toronto (where they were banned & had no public program) vs Mississauga.
Non-conclusive information seemed in indicate similarities in large cities

Great time welcoming the 70 Grade 4/5 students from Queenston Drive Public school for a tour of the Main Library & City Hall for their civics class.
City Hall is for everyone and learning that early is important. Quiz questions with prizes is also popular. 😁 #mississauga

Disregarding the public and launching optional projects in a time people feel economic hardship likely not a good idea. Let's see what comes back in June

You're right there are 100s of question. It will come back in June now not 2027 for review. I moved direction to staff for actual public consultation both with downtown residents & wider city along with financial redlines. We haven't asked residents if they want this or something else.

Meghan Nicholls, CEO of Food Banks Mississauga, gives AUTHENTICITY, leading with courage, conviction, and a belief that women don’t have to quiet themselves to succeed. By showing up fully and unapologetically, she’s helping redefine what leadership looks like across the non-profit sector & beyond.

That's odd. Is it near a roadway where a plow might hit it? If so email my office with the location please Joe.horneck@mississauga.ca I'll have city staff come get it as that could be dangerous. If it's well onto private property that becomes the owners challenge.

It's great residents are using Road Watch, with 1100 reports in 2025. Mavis was the most reported street. Let's do better!

Bylaw staff say standard size vehicles are fine it would have to be an oversized cube van or ice cream truck type vehicle.

I'll double check but that would surprise me.

Many streets are authorized for Lower Boulevard Parking. Its a quick neighbourhood survey if people want it in their area. I've done 10-20 per year over the last 3 years. Here's the list as of Dec 2025.

Snow Clearing Streets in Mississauga | Councillor Joe Horneck Learn more about how and why snow clearing works the way it does in a major city like Mississauga.

Ward 6 residents can always follow-up with our office if there are any concerns after that. You can contact us at joe.horneck@mississauga.ca. For more information, visit joehorneck.com/snow.

Typically, this is due to a street obstruction – like a parked car. We won’t always get back if that’s the case, but if the operator just missed the driveway, we can notify our snow team and they will attempt to get back when they can. For fastest service with the best coverage hours, contact 311.

We’ve heard from people that the windrow program has been a success overall and people are truly appreciating it. Still, with this being a new program and a challenging winter with 134,000 driveways to clear, we’ve missed a few individual driveways while doing streets.
