I've found myself wanting to revisit some of the works I've found most formative, but worried that I'm "wasting time" if I'm not reading new things. I like your attitude here and I think it's a good reminder that there's a lot of value in revisiting things.

I think our book clubs have been my favorite. It takes time and energy to coordinate everyone to read together and discuss it, but it forces me to think about it in other ways and uses my social anxiety to motivate me to remember and process the material to be a good conversationalist. Haha.
Oh man, the not remembering things I've read has been a huge one for me too lately. I've tried taking notes, no longer reading right before bed, doing a book club with friends, reading more slowly and deliberately, etc. Each of them helps in some ways but is a pain in others. I miss young brain.
Finished our first Earthborne Rangers (Lure of the Valley) campaign last night. What a game!! There’s nothing quite like it.

Not quite gentle piano, but we sing Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold to Wyatt each night.
the human made icon
I want to be a better steward for the Human Made icon. If you have any ideas on how I can get the word out for it more please let me know. Do you think game retailers would be interested in stickers they could pass out? folks interested in pins? What can I do to support you using this icon? a zine?

If I could work all day as fast as I work for the 5 minutes the Attack on Titan theme comes up on shuffle, I would be the most prolific game designer of all time.
Yuuuup. I screwed up my estimated payments last year and ... ouch.
I'm always envious of @maxcbrooke.bsky.social's ability to so eloquently break down abstract concepts like this. His article here about our philosophy on the Cosmere RPG (and now Plotweaver) is worth a read.
Oh man, Hunt added self-revives for solo players and it is a *pain in the ass* haha!
Sneak peek of the Mistborn Handbook for the Cosmere RPG! Coming this Fall.
Ever have a board game with amazing miniatures that made you want to use them in more games? GKR:Heavy Hitters has some amazing mechs - and Precipice from @maxcbrooke.bsky.social is going to be the answer!
Link from Breath of the Wild in front of a cooking pot.
After beating 'Nana Game' (DK Bananza) Wyatt and I have moved on to 'Horsey Game' (Breath of the Wild). But, since he calls the shots, we have exclusively rode around on the horse collecting and cooking food and, honestly? Kinda a vibe.
Some of my best creative work has come while another project's deadline is looming. If creativity is the exercise of taking the indirect path, I wonder if it can't help but reciprocate the demand of the direct path.
Hi everyone! I'm going to be at The Curious Crow in Lexington, MN next weekend for their book fair with copies of my novel, The Key and the Crescent! Come swing by if you're interested—there's gonna be a bunch of authors there and yummy food trucks!! (Should I maybe do a reading?)
I left FFG years ago, but I just wanted to say: thank you to everyone who played/plays Legends of the Dark! At the end of the day, I got to make a game I'm proud of with people I adore, and I'm so lucky for that.
This is the Kyle Ferrin guarantee.
It would just be charmingly quirky to me if they didn't charge us SO MUCH to use it.

When I search 'Earthborne' on Kalshi, this is what I get:
I love it when a mecha series shows detailed damage in battle.
Today, I discuss why its the *defender* who assigns damage in Precipice, and how that relates to my time working with

We deeply appreciate it, and we appreciate all the awesome testing you have been doing on Aidalon! It wouldn't be the same without the dedication of you and our other main testers.
A nature center here would let kids gather dandelions (from their grounds where they knew they weren't sprayed) and then would batter and fry them for them. So yeah, but never at home.
Max Brooke, who you might know as one of the designers on X-Wing, has a new minis-game project in the works!
This system is able to handle mech combat of all kinds, and is super dynamic and fun. Definitely worth keeping an eye on as he develops it!
The Artemis II rocket.
Super hyped for the launch! Though is the orange central cylinder with white boosters flanking giving anyone else "we just forgot to connect the shuttle" vibes?
Original Soundtracks for Spire in Bloom and Shadow of the Storm are now available on our Bandcamp! This is no April Fool's joke! Each of these soundtracks have five incredible new tracks (composed by @tomfiggins.bsky.social) to enjoy while you explore the Valley.

Instead of writing up yet another layoffs news piece as if they're inevitable, let's talk about the company that has caused a lot of them.

Bad news everyone. Trans folks saw their shadows yesterday.
It was fun while it lasted! I guess we'll just have to take it back with the next one. 😉
