Remembering that time in 2006 when I invited someone to come give a philosophy talk, offered our normal $500 honorarium, & got a polite reply if, "Because you are a friend, I will only ask for $5000." We had never met. We never did meet. But that's how we became friends.

Not sure. Next step is to look at double majors, minors, etc. experience is tough to track, and I'm not sure what kind of granularity we have from the survey data. Double majors are quite common) and encouraged) though.
