When available, our dev will be building out another system that links area landing pages to other local resources for the area, ie: other event listing sites/socials.
For the time being, the RPDR viewing party feature will continue to be supported for all areas.

Existing areas will retain their venue listings, and jobs will continue running to check for changes in business status. We will also continue to accept LGBTQ-specific venue submissions for those areas.
However, we will no longer be supporting event listings for areas outside of New England.
...
We're currently working to refine the site for New England areas exclusively, focusing on Boston. This does not mean we will be deleting any data for other areas, but we will be restricting features for other areas because we cannot continue to support them given then effort we can provide.

Real slop >>> AI slop
Fair warning that thegayagenda . fyi is AI slop and they link heavily to us because we're the domain authority on a lot of Boston things that don't have websites.
“Governor Healey is right that we can’t trust Big Tech, so why does she want to force our kids to send them even more data, and force them to share that data even more widely?”

Dozens of civil liberties, racial justice, LGBTQ+, press freedom, abortion access & human rights orgs have spoken out against these dangerous and misguided “age verification” laws, several of which have already been struck down as unconstitutional in other states. www.eff.org/pages/age-ve...
‼️MA age verification vote is TODAY‼️ Queer & Trans youth have begged Democratic lawmakers for years to stop pushing online id checks as these systems can wall off vital community life-lines & resources, yet lawmakers refuse to listen.
Make them! 📲 978-485-4694 www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...
So this is pretty terrible. And the vote is tomorrow. Massholes, call your lawmaker ASAP at 978-485-4694 and tell them to vote NO on dangerous age verification and social media bans: www.wbur.org/news/2026/04...
Why are Massachusetts lawmakers trying to help Trump cut trans kids off from lifesaving online resources and community? www.wbur.org/news/2026/04...
Love it when a place has no image of its entrance/storefront 🙃
New rule: a venue (and any events there) don't get listed on Kikipedia unless we can figure out where the hell the entrance is or confirm what indoor complex it's located in.
That’s why we’re urging you to pressure your lawmakers to reject these dangerous bills that are supercharging censorship and surveillance. Spread the word folks! www.stoponlineidchecks.org
Solidarity, vigilance & community care is what Queer & Trans communities need the most right now.
Part of that means opposing dangerous legislation that threaten to erase Queer & Trans people from public life.
We built a tool to make this easier 👉🏽 www.badinternetbills.com
We throw around random rants and pronoun use just to keep everyone on their toes.
No AI here though.
I cannot with the new IG story ad format where its a grid of product photos with very little padding- it def feels like a dark pattern because I'll always accidentally tap on a product when quickly tapping through stories. Got I hate meta; why are we all so dependent on it omg go back to blogs
Remember to come check out our panel tomorrow!!
Also, if you see me around the convention, please say hello! I am notoriously bad at recognizing people out in the wild sometimes!
Our dev is making a few behind-the-scenes changes to help reduce our dependency on the Google Maps API and then will be taking an extended leave to work on other projects.
Please note that going forward, our efforts are focused on the New England area; specifically Boston, Pvd, and Ptown.
LIVE NOW: @scottwiener.bsky.social is introducing SB(ASED) 1074 to crack down on Big Tech’s monopoly abuses and make it easier to leave the evil platforms propping up the Trump regime and build alternatives like Bluesky and Mastodon.

Similar to AICOA at the federal level, SB 1074 cracks down on abusive self‑preferencing practices (like Google shoving Gemini down your throat) while protecting interoperability and data portability, to make it easier to leave Big Tech platforms and build better alternatives. This should pass asap
We've only got venues at this point: kikipaedia.com/city/louisvi...
For trans people, online resources and community are lifelines. The spread of age verification laws combined with anti-trans ID laws will block access to these lifelines. This is by design.

Come to Jacques for Drag Stoll tonight and get a free T-shirt while supplies last!
And by "while supplies last" we mean "please take these shirts omg they're taking up so much storage space".
It looks like Ed Markey distanced himself from this, but Lizzy Warren is still on the wrong side. Go give her a call, tell her not to back these bills, and ask who's advising her on these issues.
You should be able to criticize your government anonymously online.
Full stop.
"Age verification" legislation is just a pretty name for "forced online ID checks," meaning everything you post is associated with your government name
We have to stop this.

🚨KOSA, app store restrictions and ID checks are expected to be reviewed by House Energy and Commerce Committee this week, bringing us that much closer to a censored Internet under the guise of “kids safety"!
We have to keep up the pressure against these bills! www.badinternetbills.com
The only thing that gets us through having to open IG to re-share shit is benonthe100bill.
