All I need is daily meditation
All I need is to write more about my inner state
All I need is more consistent workouts
All I need is to sleep better
All I need is to work more on relationships around me
All I need is focus
All I need is .......... a cigarette

Am I the only one who thinks grid-tweet display absolutely rocks?
Feels more "navigational", better for overall search.
I believe solutions are near.
AI now automatically understands context and relevance, excelling in managing unstructured data.
The prospect of effortlessly "brain-dumping" thoughts and having them presented back precisely when needed might soon become a viable reality.
If adding content to your knowledge base interrupts your consumption flow, you'll eventually stop doing it.
The process of consuming content, highlighting the relevant parts, commenting on them, and storing them for easy access should require the absolute minimal effort.
This is what would truly enable a 'second brain'.
But I still haven't found a GREAT solution to address what I believe is the core issue.
The content I encounter on the web - be it articles, tweets, papers, YouTube videos, or short videos - needs to be easily integrated into my knowledge base as text, regardless of the medium.
Since 2020 great note-taking tools have emerged - offering a good balance between organised knowledge management and flexibility for chaos.
They include decent search features but finding specific information can still be time-consuming in all of them imo.
But the manual effort turns it into a chore. Seeing a good tweet feels like an obligation to add it to Roam, instead of just enjoying it.
Since you can't predict which ideas will matter, you try to capture most, but only use about 10-20%. This becomes frustrating after a while.
The premisse is:
> Capture everything useful
> Document its impact on you
> Have it searchable forever
This process helps you develop your thoughts and opinions.
"Note taking is a way to collaborate not only with others but also with yourself in the future" - @visakanv
I spent 4y building a second brain w/ thousands of notes.
But when writing, I still go to ChatGPT for answers I KNOW I've already saved. The friction to find something is higher than the friction to ask AI.
Knowledge management is crucial but manual curation doesn't scale🧵
One last push as an independent, and I picked a GREAT problem to tackle. Could not be more excited!!!
Will share more details soon.
CHAAAAAAARGE!!!!
BROTHERS, WE RIDE AT DAWN!
In a few weeks I will be back to the corporate world.
But today is NOT that day.
Until the 30th I’m doing two things, and two things only.
- training for a half marathon
- building for the “MCP's 1st Birthday” hackathon
Hating yourself is actually a huge disrespect to your friends.
Look around, aren't they awesome? Are they gorgeous?
These incredibly COOL people would never hang out with someone UNCOOL! Which means...?! YOU'RE cool!!
I think for most people (including myself) the true bottleneck isn’t competence, but a disconnection from knowing what you truly want.
Once you have clarity and focus, things start to align.
> me: do you worry that I spend too much time and get easily obsessed working on my projects?
> gf: not really, I just wish you finished them more often.
I wrote something up for AI people who want to get into bluesky and either couldn't assemble an exciting feed or gave up doomscrolling when their Following feed switched to talking politics 24/7.
No, but I'm also considering it. Tbh I've been considering it for the last 2y but i think it's gonna happen soon.
I think a good way to start is just to journal into a camera instead of into a journal.
Aight I just used @defenderofbasic.bsky.social and @exgenesis.ingroup.social as seed starters and followed everyone they did.
They're not really active here but wtv. Let's see what my feed looks like in the next couple of days
I'm the CEO of my life and I'm going to treat YOU GUYS as my board of investors. Enjoy the free equity!
My job is to be vocal about the direction I'm heading, its rational and the outcomes I'm predicting. Your job is to challenge it using your vast collective experience!
Is this thing on?
All the old school Twitter people are complaining about how bad the app is right now so I'm wondering if it's worth it to "move" here.
Is tpot here?
I'm approaching my one-year mark in the Netherlands, and honestly, life hasn’t been as exciting here as I expected. I’m thinking of traveling for a bit—giving myself space to reflect before settling down again.
It’s not set in stone, but that’s where I’m leaning towards.
This is crazy right? "In 2024, nearly half (45%) of all YouTube viewership took place on TVs (...)"
I mean how can this be. How do people search on a TV remote??
