It is so thrilling to pull up and watch the bike detected blue light go on.

Had my own close call at Milvia/Ward yesterday, on my bike NB Milvia (no stop signs on Milvia), SB driver signaled a left turn and was apparently yielding, only to turn across my path as I entered the intersection. Cue hard stop and some yelling, missed by ~2 ft.
Imagine all the cool, fast trains we could have with the billions we spend on bombs.

Also a “high platform loading” requirement, which I don’t think Caltrain meets (yet?).
It’s “vehicular and foot traffic” in the statute though— including foot traffic makes it seem to me like they meant to include crossings (afaik there aren’t any locations in CA where one can legally walk down transit tracks for any significant distance).

Sharing a transit success story - got from TI to Point Reyes trails in just over 2 hours last Saturday morning. Quick transfers from Muni 25, to Golden Gate Transit 101, to Marin Transit 68 (which ran a high floor bus!). The latter 2 buses were pretty full - including a big group of trail runners.
