Ditto Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. They too have it on the day of 25th April.

Absolutely incredible.
NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.
Watch with sound on.

After nearly two years of unofficially (and then officially) coordinating a Games and Animation program, I'll say this:
Video-game industry people and tabletop industry people see eye to eye: game recognize game.
It's all the *adjacent* folks, many with the pursestrings, who only see the VG folks.
Genuinely one of the coolest things I've ever seen a cultural venue post
Gotta say I enjoyed it when it was first on. It needed a rather large measure (yeah OK an *astronomical* measure) of disbelief with the moon wandering past the planet of the week pretty much every episode, but aside from that a good show.
Another vote for the Eagle being a cool craft.
When you build a big fat solar farm in the Chinese desert, you might as well have some fun with the layout of the panels. This is real! Check it out on GoogleMaps: www.google.com/maps/@39.250...

Title: Easter Egg Hunt techniques inspired by great detectives Panel 1: Sherlock Holmes. Deduce the exact location of every egg from seemingly unrelated details without leaving your room. Send your amazed sidekick to fetch them. Panel 2: Jack Reacher Hit the garden hard and fast. Take no prisoners Get back on the road. This approach results in a thrillingly intense hunt, but very few intact eggs. Panel 3: George Smiley Meticulously assess documents, people and motives. Then scrupulously collect the eggs and dejectedly wonder if any of it was worthwhile.

A chunky brown bear stands upright behind a skinny tree that covers absolutely nothing, legs crossed like it’s trying to be polite about it, fully visible in a bright forest of white flowers—objectively terrible at hide and seek.

Aerial view of the Radcliffe Camera in Oxford with a freshly mown lawn featuring intricate curved stripe patterns around the circular building.
Ground-level view of striped grass patterns on the lawn beside the Radcliffe Camera, showing alternating light and dark green lines stretching across the grass.
A lawn mower on the striped grass outside the Radcliffe Camera, highlighting the precision-cut pattern with people and historic college buildings in the background.
The lawn outside the Radcliffe Camera had a trim today 🌱
No, it’s not AI.

Two archaeologists stand in a trench looking at an unearthed, fossilised, time machine and a tyrannosaurus skull in whose jaws is a human skeleton holding an aerosol can. One says: “These fossils would appear to suggest that, while Professor Cooper's time machine was a great success, his dinosaur repellent formula was not.”
My cartoon for this week’s @newscientist.com
Guardian: "Moira Deeming has lost her spot on the ballot for the Victorian Liberal party at the November state election, after a successful challenge by a moderate-backed candidate."
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Dear Bluesky please fix the bug where if I enlarge an image from a post (which happens a lot on my teeny tiny phone and old eyes) when I close the image it does not return to the post it goes to the top of my feed.
Very annoying- doesn’t happen if I don’t enlarge the image.
Last night, the ISS captured a stunning aurora between Antarctica and Australia. Check out the incredible timelapse created by our astronaut photographer!

Documents show oil giants knew their practices were wrecking Louisiana's coast nearly a century ago, but continued them and fought regulation and accountability.
Now a case in front of the Supreme Court could determine whether they'll have to help repair the damage.
