The game feels so much better when u stop letting matchups or divs bug you, just send it forward die, kill, and fail faster!
I went from 1800 XP to 2K last night just running at people. If you play fast you win more games.

Im no top player by any means but i think mirror matches are better as a whole. But id rather do some mirrors and counters!

I find with mini (my main) that mirrors are amazing and full of so many techs and skill espression!

If its not a mirror match then you can learn where those weapons are strong and how to approach them.
Anyway go do your reps! They are fun and exciting and prolly the fastest way to improve! 4/4
Its also the fastest way to train mechanically on a weapon. If its a mirror match you can receive a bit of coaching or able to observe positions that are strong for your weapon! Experiment! Its a low stakes but high adrenaline environment. 3/4
Mirror matches are the best for straight up improvement but ANY weapon can be used and it works well.
The most thing I've enjoyed from 1v1s is the lack of nerves from sharking in someone's spawn since you've fought there a lot and know all of the potential approaches! 2/4
One of the most important things you can do to improve quickly is find someone you think are better than you, que up a map in recon, and get your ass beat for an hour or two.
I know it sounds counter productive but it teaches you the limits of your weapon and how to leverage small advantages. 1/4
I think so too! I dont think there are any "kit killers" in this game anymore. I think some kits are unsynergystic but thats not the power of the subs themselves just a mismash of what they are put on. :3

i am such a mist believer now that im using it more in fights with my mini
i hope players, especlally low-level players, keep an open mind to unconventional subs and weapon picks!

Like i play mini and splash, and I can say with confidance that mist on mini is better than burst on splash in so many areas. Comps and weapon picks facilitate different subs and specials and try not to close your mind cause its not a bomb or not a "traditional support" 3/?
I don't think any player will ever reach the pinacle of what is truly possible in this game with all of the small tricks with weapons and changing of comps around.
My biggest change in the last few months has be the realization that sub weapons are ALL good if you know how to use them. 2/?
I've come to this crazy realization lately with the help of my coaches. This game has a litany of playstyles not just the standard ones you see at top level. Poke, Brawl, Dive, ect ect. And its amazing. 1/?
