“Paris has embarked on a grand transformation, planting 155k trees, adding hundreds of kms of bike lanes, pedestrianising 300 school streets and banning cars from the banks of the Seine. Parking has been turned into green space…Fewer parents fear their child being run over when they walk to school.”

And whilst you are at it stop sitting benches you little gang members.
Graphic titled “Careless Laws Cost Rights” has Ghostbusters-style drawings of people using mobility aids coming through a “prohibited” sign. From top left clockwise, a child using a manual wheelchair with power attachment, a person using a powerchair with a pram attached, a child using a powerchair, a person using a manual wheelchair with e-assist handcycle attachment, two people using a tandem mobility scooter. Bollards are consumables imo. Selfless steel guardians.
Did the contractor get mixed up and install bollards instead of signal heads?
The city’s transition away from the car, tho fantastically chaotic, has become a global role model. Under mayor @annehidalgo.bsky.social, Paris was “the most influential city in the world”, says Canadian urbanist Brent Toderian. Hidalgo, stepping down after 12 yrs, exulted: “The bike beat the car.”
Today, I was proud to join @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social
to launch London's bold new Vision Zero Action Plan.
Vision Zero is our initiative – with TfL, Met Police & London’s Councils - to eliminate tragic deaths & serious injuries on our streets by 2041.
Well done TfL. The progress is noticeable!
Amazing!
Goods Way scheme confirmed
Mineral units (boulders) guarding against rouge incursion.
Or install these absolute units to act as mineral
guardians.
A freshly rain garden destroyed by an absolute bellend before it could be planted.
I raise you this
He said: “There’s got to be some sort of right for me to park outside my house – it’s preposterous.”
Jon, who lives with his partner, a police officer”
This is satire right?…..
well done Newham!
The dismount was flawless
It’s not the traffic lights it’s the number of cars!
The threat to life is so great that all evidence and monitoring over 15 years has proved there is no threat to life.
Was your potato harvest as underwhelming as mine this year then?
This is terrorism. Yet at the time plenty including some politicians clapped him on.

Feels like yesterday! The TRL complex was amazing I remember it felt like a real turning point to see it all the trials set out across the campus. Now they are standard practice, tried tested and safe we have to reflect that roads are changing for the better slowly but surely.
On almost everything – fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation – evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.
But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
It’s a very good result in the face of some serious misinformation. Well done to those involved in common sense prevailing.
🚶♀️🚴 Water Lane Crossing Improvements are Coming Soon
Work is progressing on new safety improvements along Water Lane (E15), including:
Another central London street transformed with a filter and added gardens, preventing rat-running, noise, and danger. Chef’s kiss, London. Thank you, Camden Council, don't stop.
I didn’t realise it had a number already 🤣 can’t wait to see it complete though!
this is nice!
Well looks like me and my son will just have to keep walking in the road to school. Because this is a free pass to put politics before children’s right to freedom and safety yet again.
And perhaps just get on with addressing the pavement parking issue which causes children to have to walk in roads with moving traffic
can't wait to read the full strategy especially the section where they have addressed the national pavement parking issue following the consultation a few years back!
