Panel 2a: Liam hangs around awkwardly, holding his nose to keep it from bleeding still while Julien takes off his jacket and hangs it by the door. Panel 2b: Julien pauses, looking at him. JULIEN: …Do you need somethin’ for that? LIAM: Huh? Panel 3: Liam pulls his hand away from his face, his palm covered in dark blood that's slowly drying. LIAM: Oh. Uh, yeah, a tissue or something is fine… I don't wanna get blood on anything– Panel 4: Julien pushes past him, moving further into the apartment. He gestures to the couch as he does. JULIEN: Sit. my favorite book. by far.

whole thing feels so well rounded and fair in terms of how things work. a turn isn’t really unexpected, it’s foreshadowed and well executed. it’s also a middle school read! for some reason! and yet it’s so complex in its storytelling!!

10/10 book, everyone should read it
