Danielle Smith, what’s going on???
Mitch Sylvestre, the separatists’ leader, says that you will be passing a Bill next week to help separatists circumvent recent Court decision on First Nations’ application.
Are you collaborating with separatists?

I hate to have to call a Premier a blatant liar, but this is exactly what’s happening.
There is no means for me to have a “change of mind”. The #ForeverCanadian petition was filed under the “legislative pathway”, not “constitutional” one, which demands a vote in the Legislature.
Premier, be better
On behalf of #ForeverCanadian, I am looking forward to supporting the Cree Nation at the Edmonton Courthouse tomorrow morning.
First Nations are correct. They proved it in the Court few months ago. The separatist question undermines Treaties and our Charter.

Elections Alberta is concerned that separatists may be funded by USA.
Alberta Government lawyer argues that there is no evidence of that, yet separatists refuse to file financial disclosure.
Why is Alberta Governement defending separatists in court?

they really said "they should have sent a poet"
Cartoon depicting a "history" factory, with the quote: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" from George Santayana. A student thinks: "Why does this look familiar?" while thinking about the Palmer Raids and Japanese-American Incarcerations, and the cogs of "Bureaucracy" and "Loopholes" stand next to an "ICE" conveyor belt with "Unidentified Agents," "Detentions Without Charge," "Militarized PResence," and "Limited Transparency" on the assembly line. Beneath the conveyor belt, spilled water from a pipe, labeled: "the cracks are showing", and a graph showing "public trust" in the red.
Officials at an Omaha-area high school ordered the student newspaper to remove this editorial cartoon criticizing ICE, then demanded prior review of articles about their censorship. Via @splc.org, which is advocating for the students: splc.org/2026/03/nebr...
Coworkers and I were discussing this last week, how the work approved LLM tone always seemed very condescending.
They: Hi! Through our unhallowed ransacking of the world's knowledge, your computer can now talk to the dead.
Me: Can it talk to my printer yet?
They: haha no
Fun fact: the rover would be able to drive perfectly fine even if the inner 2/3 of the wheel rim totally breaks off. There is enough toque in the wheel motors to pull the entire rover up a vertical wall if only one of them was operating. It could drive fine if the wheels were square.
Just throwing the idea out there of a pro-Canadian march on July 1st. Start at the Rossdale Community League, which is where PM Laurier officially made Alberta a province in 1905. Walk to the Leg for a proper rally. Then anyone who is up for it can walk back down for the Riverhawks game/fireworks.
“We found out about Poilievre’s leadership team meet in DC from @politico.com When Scheer was asked who was there he said couldn’t remember! What the fuck is that? How can you not remember meeting the country that is threatening our sovereignty?”

Just debating Alberta separatism is causing economic damage to our province and to Canada.
This reckless harm is irreversible.

This is what you need to know about fascism:
“We cannot control what the premier says or does. My job is to make sure that we are ready for a referendum, because it sure as hell looks like the premier is hell-bent to have one, so we will be ready to fight one,”.

Dianna Cowern, YouTube's Physics Girl, has posted her first science video after suffering from long covid for three years. I encourage you to check it out. youtu.be/B3m3AMRlYfc?...
When someone says „Scientists do not want you to know“ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They can’t shut up about what they found out and want you to know.
There is no marketing I'm more susceptible to these days than any company saying they don't use generative AI in their projects. I'm a sitting duck for that promise even if they're selling graham crackers or masking tape.
The most concerning part is though, that the CMA could win their lawsuit, but it won't change a damn thing because of the Not Withstanding Clause invoked here.
1.5ish years left under these clowns.

Discord: Ok, yes, but the chances of that happening again are--

One of the greatest deceptions of our time is the false narrative that tells us we should be more concerned about a poor person misusing the welfare system or an immigrant being here illegally than we are about the ultra wealthy abusing the system and cruel people having unchecked power over us all.

The CIA just stopped publishing their World Factbook and took every page, including the archived copies of previous versions!
This sucks. It was public domain, so I recovered the 2020 edition (the last one published as a zip file) and shared it to GitHub simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/5/t...
What Google(and probably Amazon too) want us to be doing with their voice hubs: Buying things and giving up our personal data.
What happens in my house: My daughter asking "Dougal" to tell her jokes. Over, and over again.
