The morphine is always annoying in these cases because the amount I often need to dull pain this bad feels like they would suspect I was there to score painkillers

Ok, dealt with pains all day, drove home, the pain was unbearable...so now I'm in the hospital because I think it's a kidney stobe

God damnit, I'm not very hungry during the day as is but I got a pretty bad stomach cramp and the meal is like in an hour or so

That it starts as hard scifi and then becomes an extremely silly slasher movie. Hard scifi fans were very annoyed by the switch, much more so if they didn't like slasher movies

It basically does pull a Dusk Til Dawn, it's just here a lot of people REALLY liked the 1st half and just HATED the 2nd

illustration of a man with a big flannel top on and baggy pants, sitting at a candle lit table with a woman. they are being waited on.

you can't go wrong with flannel. it's smart for any occasion.

Was wondering if the first 3 panels were also part of the AI video but then I realized you did a close up of their hands for clarity so thanks you

Panel 1: An old, grey haired, mostly bald version of Shen is laying in bed, in a residential room, with a nightstand with a lamp on top and wooden flooring. There's a man with similar hair to him laying his hand upon the old Shen's. Old Shen says "Son ... I can feel myself passing ..."

Panel 2: Closeup of the son's hand resting on old Shen's. Old Shen continues, "My ... final request ... is ..."

Panel 3: Closeup of old Shen, opening his eyes slightly. "Please make a 3D model of me ... a-and ... COUGH ... make it do gay little anime dances on a screen at the funeral."

Panel 4: Old Shen, resting contently in an open casket, and above him is a screen and two speakers, the screen showing him doing a gay little anime dance, and the speakers playing presumably the anime music he's dancing to. Two wake-goers are there looking at it.

Like you have to realize that the useful uses for AI are not what is being sold to us and what is being sold to us is extremely unfinished, useless, dangerous and wasteful. It is not something that should be shoved into everything. Hell most people shouldn't even need it

For the record I think machine learning is good and AI tgat works within extremely limited data sets could be extremely useful and not really have the issues that people hate

The problem is AI is useful when used to assist specific people but LLM wants to replace people and just..no. That sucks

Can't believe people are lecturing the creator of Snakeoil and the creator of Swin/dle in the comments as to why their remedies won't cure people

I'm just bitter the press tried to write a fluff article about her to try and let her tell her story when it's like no, she's awful, she should go away and never try to publish a single word again

Yeah, the way it works is as an attorney you're supposed to be a zealous advocate for your client. If you think anything will compromise that, you can reject the case. I think the problem lies in the prosecution being a zealous advocate for the cops rather than the law and the State

Fun fact: your lawyer can do this

there was a popular booktok book where a character fucks the coffin of the protagonists grandmother and overflows it with jizz and just like...a fictional grooming relationship is too far?

Sorry to bring this back but just remembered that and MAN not kidding when I say booktok rivals splatterpunk

It's a holiday weekend. You're going to hit up a townie bar and need a break from family soon enough. Why not read [EDITOR'S NOTE: if you're on *Bluesky*, it's reread] our good friend Tim's now 10.5 year old story on arguably the greatest jukebox goof of all time www.vice.com/en/article/i...

If nearly everyone had an STD, I’d still want people to disclose that shit.

4 months ago 2642 915 26 2

Also I did not realize the story was so old. Just a few videos of people acting like going to jail for writing fiction, no matter how disgusting, is a thing so normal it's not even worth discussing

It's why I left something awful...just every word had to be oerfect or you would be analyzed for weakness and torn apart for no gain. Unfortunately even leaving there...this is still truely Lowtax's empire now

Also if they found actual csam, ignore this but from what I read, all they found was the book

And as i said I know this might lose some of you but the world we live in reminds a bit of the Brasseye pedogeddon special

Any ways sorry. I hope this doesn't paint me too badly

4 months ago 1 0 1 0

And I know people fear it will normalize pedophilia but once again...it's a book. The law tend not to think books are so dangerous that the author should be arrested, even the ones directly linked to violence

Like I'm not defending the book but having it treated as actual csam seems moral panicy

4 months ago 1 0 1 0

And just like there are so many absolutely disgusting books out there. Ones that are literally nonstop rape and torture with even worse stuff like putting babies in blenders and having sex with and/or eating dead bodies. ooktok is not much better with it's love of the most problematic relationships
