Busy day at work (and longer than planned) so only now getting a chance to sit down and work on scripting the next podcast.

Juggling a full time job and keeping to a release schedule is hard!

How's everyone else today? What are you all writing (or
avoiding writing) today?

I didn’t want to stand there, showing a strong face while strangers shook my hand and sympathised, told me what a lovely woman she was and how it was all too soon. How she was too young. How they would pray for her. Pray for our family. Pray for me.
Didn’t they know. Didn’t they realise, that all I wanted to do was be alone with my grief, with the pain I was feeling. Have a chance to reconcile her life with her death. Find someway to make those two incongruous ideas fit together.
But neither could I deny them the chance to grieve. To say their farewells. To come to terms with what they had lost.
But my grief was not theirs.

The more I work on this novella, the more I question whether it's purpose is to scare you or make you cry...and then scare you

Kevin, a writer, would probably sit me down, give me an idea for a new story, a blank piece of paper and...no pen

Sometimes I scare even myself...😱

#HorrorWritersChat question 3:

A character comes to life to punish you for how you treated them. What mild inconvenience will they subject you to?

My biggest challenge when putting together a new story is keeping the tone I want consistant. I write a lot of short stories and a few serial bits for the podcast and they all have different tones and atmospheres. This slows me down a lot if I focus on it too much 1st draft

Episode 19 - The Devil’s in the d20 by Tales Under A Broken Sky Look, if you’ve been around a while, you’ve probably heard the rumours. You know the ones. The whispers about a late game at the convention, not on the schedule. You’ve probably heard about them from ...

I'm away for a gaming convention for the first time in a few years this weekend.

To mark the occasion, I wrote and recorded the next episode here. A creepy gaming convention story about a forbidden ttrpg game.

Enjoy!
