Has ford ever apologized to Zameer?

There's a mark on his back for life in this town. Godspeed to him and his family, life ruined.

1010 and TVO have all the same points as his verbose statement earlier in the week. They all seem of a piece, like a coordinated comms push, all couched in this victim of bad politics stuff. It's weird!

Tory’s $100,000 Rogers post, the quiet undoing of ActiveTO — here’s some city hall items you may have missed Has the goalposts for what should be an issue or scandal shifted under COVID-19?

The Canadian establishment is fascinating.

Was it wrong for his critics to talk about Tory being on the Rogers payroll while he was mayor? Or was it tawdry to do so?

Not something the Canadian establishment would do?

I will not be running for mayor of Toronto I even asked my editor at the Star for a two-page spread to help readers understand the extent to which I am not running for mayor of Toronto.

Breaking news! I have my first opinion piece in the Toronto Star today! I got to make fun of John Tory AND make a joke about me playing for the Blue Jays, so it's safe to say that this was the most fun I've had writing something in a while. 💙 www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...

We’re living in an age of impunity From small unfairness to gross injustices, we seem to have lost a sense of shame.

Does anyone else feel sick of it all? Wrote for the Star about Toronto Police, Open AI and everyone in power who deserves a public shaming. www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...

Foreign Minister of Iceland says she has received confirmation that Trump did not mean Iceland when he repeatedly said Iceland yesterday.

She didn't want to go into details on where that confirmation came from, but it must have been someone in the U.S. foreign service. Awkward!

I love my profession deeply, but some of them are not covering themselves in glory these days. If a mob boss draws a sharp blade languidly across your palm and says it would be a real shame for you to lose your pinky, your headline isn't "Godfather rules out hacking off finger to settle debt."

Martin Regg Cohn: Donald Trump’s path to Canada runs through Greenland Plenty of people are starting to notice that the Venezuela scenario cuts awfully close to home.

“Nobody’s going to fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland,” his deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, said on CNN. “We live in a world … that is governed by force, that is governed by power.”

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

There are many, many people still viewing world events like today's through an ideological prism, as if the Trump regime has coherent or principled worldviews.

The sane among us realize Trump could just as easily "capture" the Canadian Prime Minister next month, on a whim.

I can’t get over the fact that Toronto + Ontario shut down transit on one of the busiest weekends of the year. It’s contempt for the people who live here.

Shawn Micallef: This truck ad shows why Toronto needs smaller vehicles — if only the carmakers wanted to sell them A car comically overloaded with plywood? It’s a good ad for a pickup — but also a sign of the incredible amount of money, weight and energy being wasted on

Let’s talk about the size of trucks & SUVs in the city. My column on the virtue & status signalling of vehicle bloat.

Low-scoring applicants averaged the highest payouts from Doug Ford’s Skills Development Fund Groups with the worst-ranked applications seeking money from Premier Doug Ford's $2.5-billion Skills Development Fund got, on average, the biggest payouts, according to a Star analysis.

Who all is surprised??
"... the minister’s office gave $126 million in training money to 64 organizations that used lobbyists to push applications ranked “low” and “medium” in a process that was “not fair, transparent or accountable.”" #ONpoli #DougFord

A year ago today I paddled around the West Island at Ontario Place - all summer looking at the trees from the water.

Unknowingly this was the last evening they stood, as they were cut down that night.

The “Debate Me Bro” Grift: How Trolls Weaponized The Marketplace Of Ideas Among the attempts to create hagiographic eulogies of Charlie Kirk, I’ve seen more than a few people suggest that Kirk should be respected for being willing to talk to “those who disagree with him”…

"The fundamental issue with “debate me bro” culture isn’t just that it’s obnoxious, it’s that it creates a false equivalence between good-faith expertise and bad-faith trolling"
