Your art fucking rips, Jaime. Holy shit I love this stuff so much.

And we ended up with the worst versions of both of them anyway.
Straight up the sleazy video game exec character I did almost every week.
Type of fit you’d wear to reveal an Xbox exclusive first person shooter on stage at E3 2012.
Adam that’s amazing! Thank you for this! That’s so cool!
I’ve never written anything using AI, I never will, and I have zero respect for any professional who does.
So I would’ve loved a new Bowser song in this one but Peaches is an original song they made for that film specifically, not a licensed song they had to pay to borrow. Definitely different than backing a scene with licensed pop music!
Love how he’s too short to reach his own webcam.
Legitimately laughed out loud at this. Incredible work.
One of things I vastly prefer in The Mario Galaxy Movie over the previous one is that there are like two and a half licensed songs in it instead of thirty and one of them is Hypnotize by Biggie Smalls.
This put a huge smile on my face. Amazing work.
Weirdly I am an absolute helicopter parent about making sure my kid doesn’t play shitty games or watch low effort slop on YouTube
See me and brothers watched that movie as kids knowing it was bad and stupid and we’d laugh at it and quote it in mocking ways around the house. Kids can definitely tell when something sucks. My kid walked out of Disney’s Wish and said “I didn’t like that. That wasn’t good.”
Kids deserve fun kids movies and I think these movies are exactly that. I enjoyed them as much as stuff like Hoppers, Mutant Mayhem, Elemental etc.
Aw man but she did such a great job defending his child trafficking sex island adventures every day for a year and a half straight!
No I totally get you, I think even if you don't like these characters or hate the story you could probably still recognize that the animation is gorgeous and inventive and the orchestrated soundtrack is fantastic.
Keza holy shit! I can't wait to read this!
I actually think that it's totally ok to dislike these movies publicly as an adult but I also think it's also important to view them through the eyes of a child as well.
Same and I completely recognize that the bit is almost shamelessly the Zootopia DMV sloths gag done over again but also ROB actually moved like that so it works.
To be fair that's exactly how I felt when I took my kid to see "Wish"
It's fascinating reading some of the most viciously negative reviews of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and then taking my seven year old on opening night and see her beaming with joy for 90 minutes. Reminded me that some of my favorite comedy movies growing up also had barrel bottom review scores.
I came here to recommend The Haar! I love it a ton and think about it constantly.
Man I love your work.
By some miracle, for the second time in ten months I got to sit down with Shigeru Miyamoto, this time at the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto.
As always, he was an absolute delight:

Even excluding everything else, number of concurrent players is a completely meaningless metric when talking about the quality of something. There is no automatic "popular = good" rule. McDonalds has sold millions of Filet O Fish. Larry the Cable Guy once had the #1 comedy album. Roblox exists etc.
I try it out for free every time I accidentally press that button thinking it's the Home button.
It’s my birthday today. I woke up in Osaka, hung out for 12 hours, flew back to California and got back home by 1:30PM where it’s somehow still my birthday? This feels like time travel. This feels illegal.
Recording one today! We had to skip last week because of GDC chaos!
They put Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze back in theaters for a few weeks and my young nephew went to go see it. Before the movie they showed an IGN ad with me in it so he saw me on a big movie theater screen and man, that’s easily one of my proudest career (and family) moments.
Yup, this. I pay for those things and couldn’t watch this.
