Ray Cashman delivered a fantastic Burns Scholar Lecture on how Irish deathcare workers believe, disbelieve, or hedge their bets on the existence of spirits.

Cashman's focuses on stories of spirits of the dead making themselves known, a term folklorists call "memorates."
