Everyone in entertainment knows the path to redemption: Take six months off and then have your PR team schedule a magazine profile titled “[CELEBRITY NAME] Is Still Standing” with a photo shoot of the celebrity standing defiantly in the wilderness and an interview gently alluding to a “rocky past.”

My old Gen X nuclear war anxiety is kicking back in.
Somebody should smother CBS to death with a pillow, like Jack Nicholson at the end of Cuckoo's Nest. It would be the humane thing to do.
Well, not all of us anyway.
Getting whiplash watching the amazing Artemis II mission at the same time that the president keeps doing his garbage addle-brained monstrous schtick. The best and worst of humanity in all my feeds, all the time.
They have AI swarms now so they don't have to hire people. It's very on-brand for chambers of commerce.
Agreed! Also I've noticed that the militant pro and con comments on controversial threads have suddenly developed weirdly good grammar. Used to be, trolls were all bad at your/you're and their/there. But I guess that was just a human problem.
Reddit is almost entirely unusable these days because of the warring PR bots. Just about any thread involving a celebrity or CEO is absolutely packed with bots.
Good news, guys. That post may sound insane and terrifying, but the AP says it’s just a “fiery new threat.” Nothing to worry about!
“Oh but what about Harry Reid? What about Patty Murray?” Ok, but for every one of them you get at least a half-dozen Susan Collinses and Lindsay Grahams. At LEAST.
I’ve heard this argument for years and I just don’t agree anymore. Say someone is in the House for 18 years and then in the Senate for 18 years, I’m not convinced that they’ll improve much more at their jobs beyond that point. After a certain point it just becomes an exercise in preserving power.
No one is irreplaceable. 18 years in the House, 18 years in the Senate, 18 years on the Supreme Court.
The Trump administration is creating jobs! Someone is going to have to add a tens digit place to all those gas station signs.
Based on a few Reddit threads in which people share interactions with their AI boyfriends, Claude is a 15-year-old drama student whose favorite character is Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Oh God, I felt like such an idiot because I couldn’t identify the continent. Thank you for sharing that.
Phone step counter says I took 4,294,969,283 steps today. Possibly a small error. At the bottom of the screenshot it says “On average this year’s step count is higher than last year’s.” Accurate if that number was right. Which would make this year’s step count higher than the rest of my life’s count, I think.
Possible error in today’s step count
If you haven’t been keeping up with Jonathan Majors, his action movie at Ben Shapiro’s production company is going well. Just a mild case of defenestration inspiring the crew to form a union and the producers calling them all communists. Normal stuff.
A North Atlantic Treaty Organization Without Atlantis?
A question because I'm curious and you seem like you might know the answer: Ignoring all the bots and considering only human interaction, is social media in general growing anymore? Seems like the normies are passively using Instagram and TikTok like TV, not actively as social media, for instance.

Alexander Kustov @akoustov.bsky.social • 8h For folks who still believe it's OK to stay on this website, I'm genuinely curious: can you go through these quote posts and tell me with a straight face that this is an acceptable way for adults with PhDs to engage in intellectual discussion in 2026?
Two weeks ago, when posting something negative about AI: “Hey, this site is getting good again.”
Today, when he writes a bad take on immigration in The Atlantic: “This site is terrible and nobody should use it.”
Buddy, develop some object permanence. The site didn’t change. You just kept talking.
In the Trump administration, powerful women are shattering the glass floor every day.
What if we agreed to make the rest of year less of a barrage of lies so that a single day of lies could stand out again?
Oh so now copyright matters.
Ah, I don't know anything about his personal life. If that's the case, it certainly would explain the lack of artistic risks on his resume. (And I honestly respect it more than if it was just a case of terrible taste.)
It physically pains me to see Idris Elba as Man at Arms in the He-Man trailer. Probably the most wasted potential of any male actor in this generation. That guy's agent must loathe him.
He should pay actors to read his scripts.
This man has a Nobel Prize in Literature.
Pretty sure the audience Kalshi is trying to attract would consider “we don’t do death markets” to be a bad thing.
